Sweet! It will be great to see you Ray! Looking forward to meeting some new folks as well.

My intention is to try to stay out of trouble with Rick's boats and have some fun!
Kind of looking forward to having Jerry Crowther, Tom Foley & co. hand me my butt in F Mono, I've never raced the class! May or may not have a shot at Scale & Sport 40, but gonna have fun trying!

See you guys at the pond!!

I wish I was gonna be here, I'd go on Saturday. But I'll be on the flight to Denver, then a rental car to Florissant. It was 11deg. there yesterday morning with almost 4ft of snow on the ground!!

I hope Brandon is better sheltered from the winds than Ackerman is. It may be more about surviving than racing otherwise. http://www.usairnet.com/cgi-bin/laun...=KSRQ&state=FL

    Hey Bill,

Man I hope that isn't the case. I've never been to this pond so I don't know what to expect.

Larry, looking forward to meeting you.

    Guys,

The folks running the Atlanta Spring Nats have now opened up a couple more classes for electric. P-Mono, P-Ltd Sport Hydro and the Open Offshore classes.

The Brandon pond is much better protected than Ackerman, but with 25mph winds, even that pond is going to be nasty.

I just checked again and it shows dropping off to around 9 mph at 1:00 AM Sunday morning. That's as far as the chert goes right now.

Their pond is north- south and pretty much protected from wind on all sides. Ive raced there when it was blowing pretty good and it stays drivable.

The weather doesn't look too bad for Sun. It'll be chilly with wind 5 to 10 mph until afternoon. http://www.wunderground.com/weather-...:34230.1.99999

The aviation site pretty much agrees Brian. Sunday is looking totally do-able. I'm hoping I'll have time to prep and charge packs for at least one boat (gotta make a trip to Lakeland on Saturday) but will be there to socialize regardless.
Let's see... where did I put my thermals....

    Sorry Doug
When I said I would be there, I meant at our pond on Sun.

Somebody remind me to tighten my collets before tossing in tomorrow. Finished greasing the cables a little while ago, then remembered I'd already stowed my pit box in the van.

    Bill tighten your collet.

Also your key should work. There has only ever been one lock and one set of keys. As long as you got it in the correct lock.. not the counties it should work.

Nope just broke and no boat to run which is why Im not traveling the 90 minutes to get there. I subbed my LSO in the chop last run and popped the esc. Ive got no race boats in order at the moment. So Im staying home and probably gunna throw a gasser in.

    Have fun

Better you than me Hugh. I'd rather be heading further south
I'll probably show up around 10:00 or so. Going to take advantage of the early morning light east wind a couple miles south of the lake.
