Default leopard 3674 motor direction ?

    1st hello
    im new to this forum
    2nd
I just purchased a really nice used revolt with only a couple hrs run time on it
    and was all stock
well ,,,,not been set up yet
sp decided to upgrade and dial in all at 1 time
installed new leopard 3674 2200kv motor
    seaking 180 esc
    upgraded flrx shaft
thinned & sharpened turn skegs and rounded rudder
445,455,642 and stock props to dial in with

when I connected motor to esc by color code
blue, yellow, orange motor turns clockwise when set to "forward only"
    in esc settings,,,,,
when set to for/rev it does switch at the receiver for and rev

? is,,,,,,,does the motor turn same rpm in both directions?
to leave it switchable at the receiver,,,,
or should I switch 2 wires to make it turn counter when set in forward only setting
would be nice to have a rev if need to idle backwards for some reason,

this forum is a wealth of knowledge on this hull
as why I got these components and did all the pre adjustments suggested
    any advise will be heplful

    tks
    john

Welcome to the Forum and Happy Holidays!

The color on the Leopard and the color on the Seaking are not necessarily color coded. You need to swap any two wires until the rotation is correct, DO NOT ALTER THE ROTATION BY SWITCHING THE RECEIVER'S CHANNEL 2 SWITCH. That switch should be in "N" position UNLESS it is a Futaba system or Tactic or Flysky.
I don't enable the reverse feature on my ESC, a full throttle blast IN THE WATER is not good for the cable because it is directional and repeated attempts will unravel the cable.

I do have a tactic receiver,,,,
but did swap wires around till is turning counter while switch is in N position
definitely wasn't going to make run in clock rotation under power
my buds and I are former formula tunnel drivers/racers
and now we are still chasing another around with the RCs now,,,lol
also as why im upgrading,,,more power,,,,
here is pic of the upgrades

That is a fabulously upgraded Revolt with CF inlay!
I am under the impression that in order for the Tactic to work properly ( i.e. , throttle calibration) the channel 2 switch needs to be in the "R" position.
I am kind of surprised that you have it working on the "N" position. Might want to check that again...
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

    tks ,,,,,
I built and raced the tunnel boats as in my avatar
    so when got this 1
I gutted all hardware and layed carbon bottom,,,made carbon trays for 4s battery and esc as low as possible and in center
flipped it and trued the bottom flat,,,,and gave it a 400 grit finish as we did with larger hulls
then thinned and polished the running gear, rudder and turn fins

what I found with the tactic is,,,
ur correct on the switch on the reciever
in "forward only" mode,,,,no matter what direction I reverse the motor wiring
I have to set reciever to R position to get power when pull trigger,,,,,
when in N position it has no power when pull trigger
    push trigger forward,,,,will power up
and if I set it "for/rev" mode
it will go forward when pull trigger and rev when push trigger forward set in N position
    so that is the choices,,,,
    forward only in R
    for/rev in N
will be going out for a test run next week
to adjust tabs, fins, prop height and start with the m445 then x642 props
tks for help,,,,,,will probably switch to forward and r since now know that's correct,,,,
