    Default Trim Tabs

I'm outfitting a Prather Deep Vee 40 where the plans call for a sub surface drive and show trim tabs that are each 4" wide. I am going to use a surface drive and am asking if I can use trim tabs that are only 2" wide. If not can I use 2 sets of 2" tabs. I would also like some advice on the use of turn fins for this project. As you can tell from the questions this is my first boat.
    Thanks,
    Marc

It is quite common to use two sets of tabs on each side...just make sure that when all the other hardware is mounted that you are still able to adjust the tabs.

Also, you can get away with just one set with no issues.

What kind of questions do you have about the turn fins?

Thanks for the reply-I understand the turn fins should be mounted 90 degrees to the hull. For a 40" boat what size fins would be appropriate?
    Thanks,
