I had dinner with Tony tonight, glad he made it home okay! SAW events can be grueling, especially one which lasts five days. The Grims are tired too, all us SAW racers owe them a debt of gratitude for putting on this long race. What a blast!

Congrats to all the new record holders.
But, of course, especially to fellow Aussies, Aaron & Kris.

Fellow Aussies who happen to be great guys! I had dinner with them Friday evening and what delightful company they were. Plus they both are awesome SAW competitors too.

I wish I'd had time to visit more with all the International competitors, SAW racers are outstanding boaters!

I haven't met Kris in person but was fortunate enough to spend some time with Aaron in Elizabeth City. He is a great guy and certainly knows his way around model boats and propellers! Great sense of humor too.

Man, Ralf has certainly found the key(s) to get it done with a mono. Awesome!

    Congratulations on the records fellas!

Records have been falling like flys this morning! Aaron set a new B Hydro record....sorry I an not certain but it was around 117. The Q Cat record changed three times in twenty minutes. Lots of excitement this morning - but the good water is gone as the wind has come up. With luck it will be good again later this afternoon......

With two hours of racing to go on the final day, records have been broken 29 times over the five days of the event. We are hoping for some good water at the witching hour, but who knows....

The record was set with a wood/composite outrigger designed and built by Tyler himself. I do not know how many riggers Tyler has built, tested, destroyed etc. in his quest for the top record - but it has been a bunch. For those xxxx who think building a record-breaking SAW boat is just sticking a lot of power in a boat and pulling the trigger..........think again.

Fantastic, Tyler! What a tremendous amount of dedication you put forth to accomplish this world record.

Ralf-Great work on that mono record, too! That boat looked silky smooth out there on the water.

To all of you guys that attended this 5 day event, and for those that made it happen, congratulations! What a historic event.

Mere words are inadequate to convey the jubilation that accompanies the act of finally besting the former "worlds Fastest FE Boat" record which was last set in 2006. For years, Tyler has hand-built contenders and tried over and over again in spite of thrown prop blades, fractured drivelines, blown motors, esc's, batteries, and horrendously destructive crashes, all the while exhibiting under these circumstances a rare display of positive attitude and sportsmanship.

This time, after Five Days, and at last light, it HAPPENED, and the celebration commenced
