Of course we've all heard of it! It's a neat little boat. I'm building one for my son right now...and now I kinda want one for myself!

Doug, those hydros look so good in your shop, I am lucky to have bought this one that was built by you! Love it! With the Neu 1509 they were awesome! I may try that for the N-2 Sport Hydro class. (just for fun for myself as i don't race)
OP: this hydro is not that big but it is a fun and well running boat! I also forgot to say that the hydro you saw in my YouTube clip was built by Doug Smock, I bought it here some years later through a third party...

This link will help you with the build although I no longer use Teflon liners.

All of the hardware on this build came from Ray Fuller. The guys can fill you in on other options.

thank u so much
have one more question i have a shockwave 26 bl , dont like the boat to much to slow , i have been told the motor is pretty good in these boats will it fit in the vac-u-pickle and what other parts can i use off of it
thanks
If you have the 1500kv Proboat motor, then it is an excellent motor, speed will be slower than the UL-1's 2030kv motor, the ESC should work as well. I have the latter motor and use a X642 prop as well as a Grim 40x52/3 prop, all work well.
The motor will fit! The only thing you might have to pay attention is the clearance of the underside of the water jacket. The motor mount that is meant for the Vac-U-Pickle is a low mount, water jacket on the thick side may not clear, you need to slide the jacket slightly toward the back of the end bell. At least that is my finding, could be wrong though.
Whatever you do, don't part with that motor, that motor can be run with 6s as well. They are discontinued and together with the 1800kv motor , they are well liked by boaters!

ok thanks i was going to up grade the esc to run on 4 s are 6s what ever i can get in it. speed is the key for me want it to run with my cats. not sure what battery will fit in there
i just looked it does have the 1500 kv motor, and a 3s 45 amp esc
also have the the motley crew on 4s to
ok then the rx and tx should work then i guessing
I ordered a seaking 60 amp esc which is smaller in size for mine. It was like 44 bux.

y can only ron 3 s on that esc 60 amp?
ok got lost somewhere with the research i have been doing, lol, i was thinking i saw these run on 4 s. going to order after the 1st of the month so drifting around finding where to get parts and so on.
You did. I still run one on 2x2s 5000 45c wired in series with a AQ 2030 and 60a control. It runs great with a M cut X442.
