Default Looking to purchase a good quality 28mm dia x45mm long bl motor?

Hi all i have a Dave Frank Miss rock sport hydro hull length is 21 1/2'' beam is 11 3/4'' hull+ hardware+lipo=38 oz total weight the unfortunate part of this project is very limited interior space managed to sqeeze a Sea king 120 amp esc under front starboard deck im limited to a 2s 2500 mah 50c lipo in the battery tray and a 28mm dia x45mm b/l motor under the cowl . My goal speed wise around the 43 mph range. What kv rating would work? What brand of motor? Regards Andris Golts.

Wow, you are limited in motor size. Too bad you cant get a 2858 or 2860 in there. Anyways, This motor would work well on 2s seeing as you have a huge ESC and plenty of amperage room.

If you could somehow "find" the room, this motor would be the bomb.

This is an awesome little motor but, too bad it's so pricey: http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...od_id=AQUG7005

It's only 2200kv also so no room for more batts.

When I built several of these hulls 10 years ago I ran it in N2 Sport Hydro, it was a picklefork version, Atlas Van Lines...

I made a dropped pan motor mount and mounted a Lehner Basic 4200 motor in it and 6 Nimh cells, esc was a Barracuda 80 I think?

Is this the same thing you are building Andris?

I would look for something with 4200KV if only running 2S!
