can i use a seaking 4800kv

so im running my mc with 2s 6000 95c 7.4v
42x54 prop preety fast but as every1 knows its nvr fast enough
im wondering can i use a seaking 4800kv without having to change motor mount or esc or whats the most motor i can put in stock esc,motor mount and current batteries
and how are some of you guys getting 50mph on stock set up

If you use a 4000kv-4800kv motor on the same batteries, prop and esc you will blow something most likely.

The 2 x 2S packs you have in your boat are wired in series to give 14.8Vdc approximately and motor KV in stock boat is 1800Kv so doing simple math 14.8 x 1800kv = 26,000 rpm.

If you change the motor to a 4000kv motor and you do not change the wiring of batteries you will get this: 14.8 x 4000kv = 59,200rpm and the motor will most likely come apart with that prop or the esc will pop when it pulls over 150 amps.

To try this 4000kv or 4800kv motor (I think you mean the 3800kv motor) you would want to run on only ONE 2S pack or both connected in Parallel and not Series as the factory esc is wired.

You would be better off staying with the higher 14.8Vdc from your 2 packs and maybe trying something like a Leopard 3674-2200Kv motor and a new esc to handle the extra load and still use the same prop

i was looking on ebay at one it said 4800kv
so just going from the stock 18 to the 22 i have to change esc
how much more speed would i get

i just wonder what that would to mph and what esc should i run

Maybe try a UL-1 Motor, same size as your 1800 thats in it now just 2030.

If you want to stay with everything else that you have I would just get the UL-1. Watch E-bay and even here, can find them used cheaper.

im told i would have to upgrade esc and somthing about $ accounts even paypal to china scares me

Fine design sells the same motor basically but, he wants $105 for it plus shipping.

Sounds like you do not solder yes or no? Basically upgrading usually requires soldering of new connectors. This is what upgrading is, replacing what can handle the power you are installing. You will want to replace connectors because you are using more power.

Maybe you should take more time with your stock setup by trying new propellers and strut adjustments. I just want to let you know that you can't always just plug new stuff in and expect everything to go faster.

dont solder for sure and like the ease of the deans if i do upgrde ill have my lhs do it.
also the 2030 i dont have to upgrade esc or change motormount ill see what he has to say though

You could try an M445 prop but, check voltage and temp every minute or two on first run to prevent any damage or heat. The stock 1800kv motor can handle bigger props than stock but, you have to check often to avoid damage and know how long you can run.
