Just wondering, do we still use the same program box for the recently released Seaking V3 ESCs?
I am aware that one needs a female wire on both ends in order to connect the box to the ESC, however I am not sure about the program box itself.

It looks to be the same, isn't it a male to male that's needed?

The same program box works fine. I recently bought two V3s. You need a female to female connector.
They kinda screwed it up. Could at least include a connector..
Hmm, my program box takes a male connector. Male connectors have female pins...

If you look into the opening there, you will see pins, that makes your box male. The pins are the same as in a radio receiver.
On the V3, three pins are sticking out from the side of the ESC, so you need that end of the cable to go over the pins and the other end to go over the pins inside the program box, at least that is how I envision the process.

The pins in the box are male as are the pins on the v3 esc, you need a female to female lead to connect the esc to the box.
Agreed the pins are male, but the connector is called male. It goes off the connector, not the pins. See the link I posted. The esc has the same male pins, but the connector is male. If you order a female to female "connector" you'll get the wrong one.

It all depends where you get the lead from, some call this lead male to male other places call it female to female. I think they call it male to male because of the plastic body of the plug goes inside whatever your connecting to, those that call it female to female is because the metal contacts inside the plug are female.
