    Default Huntsville Record Trial Results

    Man what a weekend!
7 FE records set. I'll post the results this evening after I review all the applications.

This is a new personal best for me. I have broken boats before, never in two. Stuffing one at high speeds is never a good idea.
A turtle will more than likely be blamed for this.
All of the equipment was salvaged!!!
Pics and vids will be showing up shortly, many cameras were rolling.

Darin, I don't think it would have mattered. If you stuff a boat (monos especially IME) in the upper 90s, your done for the day. The next one will be better however, this was a prototype!

I can't complain about this hull. I beat the crap out of it for two seasons.
It took me to the next milestone, and I learned a bunch from the experience

LOL Tony, you interested? I'll pay shipping.

    EDIT Never mind, bad link.

I think you're right. There's just too much energy there to stop it all at once. At least with cats we generally get a bit of airtime and if lucky a couple "skips". I've crashed at 120+ with no damage to hulls a number of times, but a 95mph crash without airtime broke my HPR bulletproof hull in half from the top to halfway across the sponsons, and lengthwise almost the entire length. If you stuffed it going upper 90's, I don't think it had much of a chance. Sorry for the loss but congrats on the speeds!

Anybody get video of any of the runs last weekend?

    Hey Keith,
    Thanks,
I am waiting on a disc to show up here. There were cameras rolling all weekend.
I understand that it looks like the boat hit something at full song. Apparently you can see the transom lift hard. The boat was there one second, gone the next. I told my spotter it was over before the parts surfaced.

Here is a vid the D5 Director Paul Trauffler posted. This was sometime Sat. am.
Not sure why the link won't work. http://home.hiwaay.n.../2/MVI_0274.mp4
