Default Need some SSS motor info

I just got a used ARTR Cheetah that was originally purchased from OSE. It has an SSS 4082 motor at 1600 KV. Steve and I don't know whether it's a D or Y wind. I cannot find anything on this motor size & KV on the web, but it looks like all other SSS motors are D wind. Does anyone on the forum know about this one?

Typically ALL SSS motors I've seen are Delta winds. The way you can tell is if you can see inside the end bell or take off the end bell and see if there is a soldered connection inside. If it has a soldered and shrink wrapped and compressed joint in it it's a Wye "Y" wind. If it's just the magnet wire coming out of end bell then it's a Delta "D" wind.

Later I could show pictures if needed.

Not having to make that wire termination for a Y wind will reduce manufacturing costs. You will notice SSS motors are less expensive than others but by no means are they a slug.
