10th scale hydro question

Okay I have built tuned and ran a crap load of cats and mono hulls. This time around I really want a scale hydro. 10th scale would be my first choice(something like the 96 Dewalt or 94 Smokin Joes). It all depends on the cost of power systems available in my price range. I have always been able to build fun fast boats with out having to hock the farm so I'm optimistic.
The real question I have is "IF" I can get my hands on one and thats a big if... How hard in general are they to set up and get somewhat stable and quick? Goes without saying everything needs tuning... I've been there. Given the fact I'm super rusty I don't want to take the joy out of getting my feet wet again is it taking on to much to quick?
What do ya think hydro guys?

Don't think they are too hard you should be able to do it relatively easially. As far as power goes it should be easy to get it to the mid 50's on just 4s and spec power such as the proboat 15400 ect.

Get your order in, he has a list that's pretty long. He is constantly improving design for better handling. Other than that, try to get a used one. Word of mouth or email gets quicker results.
