Default How to install stuffing tube liner

My bj29 needs new liner and no matter what I do I cannot get the stupid liners in. So far i've ruined two by trying to get them in. I'm on my 3rd and I can't screw this one up because I need the boat all next week. So far i've tried putting grease and silicon spray on it with no success and I have also put it in the freezer and I still cannot get them in more than 1.5 inches. My old stuffing tube looks to have a little bit smaller of a diameter so I don't know what to do and yes i'm ordering the right part according to proboat.

These are a PITA. I think some success has been had with stretching them(hold both ends and pull). Maybe do a search in the Geico area. I remember it a year or maybe year and half ago. I think the Proboats are metric tubes.

I remember that as well, was a short disscussion since it worked and the guy thanked whoever replied. When you stretch, it will become thinner (dia. Wise), but you have to see if the end that is entering has also shrunk, if not, cut that off immediately after giving the liner a good stretch.
Too many boats, not enough time...
