ML has some good stuff and links to other parts to finish. HE really has done a lot of the pita stuff to pick a 1/10th scale. Very cool.

haha Awesome. Doug and I will look so cute together.
We're all over the place but it's my thread so screw em'. Is there any racing going on down there in January? Tom threatened to run down there on the weekend if there was. It's only a 10 hour drive.
Not sure I'll have much time. There are 4 of us going and we're expecting to work 7 days a week.

Tom is coming to winter warmups??
Yes sir. I don't think he'll mind me responding for him. I think Bob Zola from Mojo Racing is trying to make it too.
Kill'n me to miss this. Great racing, great people, perfect weather, not frozen like a Popsicle. Gonna miss that Italian restaurant down town too. Great food, owner meets you at the door, good company, great times.........shuttle to and from the hotel too. Some people need that. Just say'n. Sure had fun despite my technical woes.

Terry,
Just remember there are still 3 motor options for 1/10 scale. Proboat (if you can find any), Himax and Aquacraft 1700.
Yes sir. I have two of the three. Isn't the Himax basically the same as the Proboat 1500?

From what I understand, yes.
You would take Terry over me Doug? Man, talk about a disappointment! Hahaha
just order a dynamite 1500 from horizon and send it to dougs address think u will like it
MY RETIREMENT PLAN?????.....POWERBALL
74 vintage kirby clasic hydro, pursuit mono, mg, 47'' mono, popeye hydro...
Did you guys say the old SV27 blue can is an approved motor? I have one of those. Thinking of selling my GP335 kit and getting a ML 1/10 scale instead.

Ray,this doesn't look like a TFL hull. It doesn't show up on any of the lists that I have ever gotten from TFL
Caution: Does not play well with others!
On another note, working on this trying to get it done for the WW.

was gonna be a surprise but Terry let the cat out of the bag LOL

It all depends on the weight of your 1/10th scale. I have no issues running a 1700kv
I don't know anyone out here in the PNW running the SV motors anymore.
If yours is holding up for you that's great.
My boat is right about 6lbs and was running around 47mph until motor died.
Motor temps were always on the warm/hot side.
Proboat and himax motors hardly break a sweat 447 props and can handle 3 blades no problem.
OSE GIFTING ELF
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
I run a winston eagle lobster boat. Ready to run weight of 4lbs.
Nice info, thanks!

I ran on SV 27 motor in a pretty heavy Vacationville.com 1:10 scale to a CT championship back in 2002. The boat weighed in excess of 7 pounds ready to run, but it had a lot of angle of attack on the sponsons and handled like a dream, so you didn't have to get on and off throttle a whole lot during a race. It was water cooled and the engine well area was open to the elements with no plate sealing up the dummy turbo allison, so lots of air got to it too. I think the sponson angle and setup fooled the boat into thinking it was lighter than it was. I ran it with an Octura 447 and it was a lot of fun. H1 driver Jon Zimmerman built the boat four years or so before that out of carbon fiber and never had a chance to finish it after his hydro racing career started taking flight, so I made a deal to finish the boat for him, race it or a season and then turn it over to him again when I was done. He still has it, but has changed the motor, setup and tinkered with it a few times since then. He doesn't get out to race it much any more, but he's not going to drive the real boats forever and he has a young son. Hopefully we'll see it out again some day.
Hey Ray. What temps are you getting with your 90c batts and the Dynamite motor with 50mm 3 blade? I have been running 50mm 2 blade with about 120 degrees. My 3 blade hops too much right now to run 6 laps.
6 laps with a mill right around 120..which is funny because with a 447 was running about same...
