In formula 1, they call the off season when rumors roam large as "the funny season". Somehow, right now feels like the funny season for aquacraft...

I know Doby was just posting his daydreams, but I'd love to see AquaCraft Revolt 33 RxR: A 33-inch hull with Revolt-like styling fitted with an appropriate 6S ESC and a bigger, lower-Kv motor would be an instant purchase for me.

So, is there any new news on this? It seems like the Revolt 30 was well regarded and sold well. I have a hard time imagining AquaCraft has discontinued it without plans for a new/revised model. Perhaps there will be very light revision, with new decals or some such.

Actually, anything 33 to 36 inches or so and designed to run 6S would be great to see.

Or you could just build a DF33 or a Cyberstorm and the hull will last for years compared to a few seasons.

Maybe AQ will come out with a decent hydroplane or cat, lol... I'm yankin' yer chain guys...

Yeah, I'm actually planning to build a 36-inch Ariane hull, but the performance/price ratio was so good on my Revolt 30 that I'd like to see what AQ would do in a 33- to 36-inch size.

The Revolt 30 has been removed from Aquacraft's web site. (It was there recently, even after Tower was saying it was discontinued.) It seems from the outside like the Revolt was a successful model; when I was researching 30-inch-ish monos, every every thread I found at OSE and elsewhere recommended the Revolt. I can only assume a new version is in the works.

Maybe I won't be getting a FE boat this season.

I'm curious as well to see if and what replaces the Revolt 30.

Just made my decision tougher, tougher meaning a waiting game.

It seems that AQ is probably going to lose some sales (to ProBoat in particular) while they don't have a 30-inch mono on the market.

Good things come to those that wait. I can't remember how many times I've gotten upset at myself because I couldn't wait and ended up spending more in the long run.

As you can tell from the thread I started, I'm now planning to build up a DF 33 or Cyber Storm 33, since that will be learning opportunity at let me reuse on extra Revolt motor I have.

The thing that sucked about the Revolt was the fact we had to put tape on it for every run to hold the canopy on. Crapppy!!! I wish they implemented a pin like the revolt has to keep on the top in the new one. If they don't, I won't be buying it.

Umm..the tape is also to make it waterproof.....kinda important don't you think?

Also, you repeated yourself...you mentioned the Revolt sucked and then you liked the pin it has (it doesn't)???

Definately not the right hobby for ya if you bitch about having to tape the hatch down. Cuz, you know, those pinned hatches are so reliable

The Revolt did for the rc boating hobby what the Slash did for RC cars. It brought a fast, reliable, affordable platform to market, to get people to take the leap into FE RC boats. And it worked. I'm hoping for a Revolt V2 in kit form, direct from Aquacraft!

Thats unfortunate. If any boat out there should be discontinued, its the Spartan. That boat has probably scared more people away from the hobby than the Revolt attracted.

I'm willing to bet Aquacraft has something up there sleeve though. It seems like the Revolt sold well. Glad I picked one up when I did!
