Hi,
I put together a tutorial on blueprinting, videos are located here:

This covers strut, rudder, and blueprinting, it's for the Miss Geico/Blackjack but applicable for any cat.

Those are very useful videos. Thanks.
Does a similar approach work for mono-hulls?
Revolt 30, River Jet, Southampton Tug, Outcast 6S BLX, 8ight-E, Ten-SCBE, 22 2.0.
'09 Miata.
Ibanez basses and guitars. Mapex drums, Zildjian cymbals.
I've never had to "blueprint" a mono hull, but if you had any damage to the bottom of the hull the marine epoxy putty would be great for repair.

I have always wondered about the right process for this, I'm sure I could sort it out but who knows what the end result would be. Awesome you took the time to put this together!
Thanks!
Thanks it really helped my MG

Could you give us some information on the side to side profile for the cat sponsons??
What Degree angle ( Dihedral) on the sponsons for Offshore racing??
Should there be a difference in the angle of the left and right sponson the same as on a sport hydro for Oval racing??

Hi, i would like to know if it is possible to blueprint this kind of ride pads and how please:IMG_20150719_215323.jpgIMG_20150719_215409.jpgIMG_20150719_215414.jpg
Thank you!
Hi Chietain, I,m new to the hobby but not to boats. I just did this to mine,it,s a f1 hornet and the sponsons look so much better and sharper it really hooks in the corners now. I,m running A 3650 2930kv, it is running 50ish. Thanks again.
Mine is rocking, I'll need to redo it. Need some marine Rx too. Wish I saw this long ago. Thanks Chief !

I used fiber glass resin and tape on mine. It took about 3 passes to get a good shrp corner.
Could not find marine Rx on eBay just marinetex.

Would making your ride pad edges as sharp as possible (and ride pads even) make a big difference in terms of speed for SAW?
I think my Mystic has a rather thick gel coat which I think resulted in "round" or "dull" edges around the ride pads... and the gel coat on the ride pads seem to have this unevenness to them like there is high and low points in there.
Can this unevenness affect speed as well? or is it more to do with overall stability, lift, etc...

Wouldn't it work to just even out the ride pads by sanding the initial layer of gel coat?
Not sure what MarineRX is to be used for in that case...

Do you know if it helped with speed at all?
Guys this is an old thread and haven't seen BHChieftain in a while here. He is fairly active on RC Groups in the racing boat forum though
