    Default The HV Fantasm

This was my second build over winter and is now complete and in the water. Flier twin 300 ESC, TP 4050 950kv motors, MTC rudder, 'click' drives, and custom everything by myself:

Great looking boat Shawn, brings back memories of my first Fantasm with that big controller. Which way are the wheels spinning?

BTW, do you still need a cooling block for the other one?

Hey Joel, no the other half could not be resuscitated. The wheels are spinning inward so far. My Shocker really, really preferred the opposite. I was going to PM you and get an opinion.

Keep them spinning in the faster you go...

    Props spinning in....

That was the reason huh??? LOL. I have noticed with the Miss G that with outward it bounces, inward stops this. But then with pitch/lift props it shoves the nose and plows a little. Now that is a limited boat mind you.

I wouldn't say it was the only reason, but spinning the wheels in at 90 mph helped to keep her flying level. However at those speeds it doesn't take much for a blow over.

Stop your teasing and let's see this rip! Do you think you will take it to 14s? It looks so nice and stable on the water, like it's begging for more speed.

It is coming. Dang yard work is getting in the way. So is Windows 8 and my data logger. They don't like each other. And it is time to put it to use.

Really nice Shawn, such a cool setup. 14s will be nuts if you decide to take it that far. Just curious do you know how many amps it pulls, run time and stuff?

I'm curious how the hv setup works in a boat that size, keep the vids coming!

Having logger/PC issues ATM. I have a vid in the Vid section that runs almost 6 mins and I ran a bit more than that. These are 3300mah batteries so a pretty good return on the amps I'd say
