Default Slightly busted boat and would like some advise on repairs

    This is my first post...

So I picked up a gently used ul-1 a couple of weeks ago and have been having a real blast with it on the pond in my back yard. Looked away at the wrong time two days ago and hit a submerged Christmas tree trunk someone didn't toss far enough into the pond. I dented the leading edge of the turn fin, and have hull cracks around the turn fin mount and left sponsor.

Can the turn fin leading edge be bent back?

I found the Darin thread for the turn fin mounting area upgrade /repair.

How do I repair the split in the sponson? uploadfromtaptalk1395866888323.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395867210463.jpguploadfromtaptalk1395867289763.jpg

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best that I could recommend would be to sand the area being careful not to get into the thin fiberglass. Then you could add a layer of fiberglass and resin. Paint to match. That's the best I got. I am sure there are people out there who have done this repair.
