Hey guys, quick question. I'm storing my batteries (30c 2s 5000)...how many amps should I store them at on my charger? Can't find it in the owners manual.
    Thanks
    Don

The storage mode on the charger should put them to around 3.8v per cell Don. It doesn't really matter what you set the amperage at as most lipo chargers will not discharge at more than 1.5 amps.

Don, Bill is correct. My charger will only go up to 1amp on discharging lipos. I set it to that and if its a fully charged pack it will take quite a few hours to bring it down. After an Ackerman day, most of my packs are at storage within 30-45 minutes.

    hey guys,
There was mention of beginning to run one day a month until it cools off a bit. Whats the thoughts of how we want to do this? Meaning, which Sunday and do we want to just do t&t runs or what?

    Hey Gimpy!

I think everyone was thinking the 4th Sunday. Maybe you won't be so gimpy in another few weeks.

Hi Scott. Hope you're feeling better.
I'll agree with the 4th Sunday as well. Especially since I've already updated the website to reflect that.
On another note, (just for the records) I gave my key for the gate lock to Chris last time we were there. To me it made more sense for the person that's bringing out the boat to have it than me.

    Thanks for the help Scott!
    Hey guys,
Another quick question for you all. My ESC on my BJ took a crap. I have the stock motor, running a 442 prop. What are some recommendations on a new upgrade...120, 180 or 200 A and brand? Does anyone have a used one they want to sell?
    Thanks,
    Don

I see OSE has a swordfish pro 200 A for $110. Would this be a good fit for my BJ?

That would be a good replacement, that Pro 200 is a tough ESC. I've got a couple of them and they work great..

A 200A ESC in there is a little bit of overkill, but if you ever stick a larger motor in the boat it will handle it. A 120A ESC works nicely for stock motors.

    Ron
He is a tip for faster speeds in the turns, and more stability in the turns.
With the size of your turn fin bracket,- The turn fin should be mounted on the inside of the bracket.

When a boat is in the turn - The water is shooting up from the inside of the turn fin - If your bracket is in the way of that water force -
It will try to lift that sponson at the same time that your fin is trying to keep that sponson down.

When the fin is mounted on the inside of the bracket, - that water coming off of the fin is unrestricted, hence keeping the sponson down on the water.

yes thanks larry I had planned to either shave down the edge to make it less a planning surface or just use change the bolts as it is currently two threaded holes and make it nuts and bolts and change sides...

finally got up the nerve to drill some holes in the sprintcat 36 today...its my new q rough water boat....still need to cut the stringer to mount the servo and then stuck till I can get a 5 inch rail mount....not very pleased with deck mounting from aeromarine as its off by maybe a 8th inch to one side but not too bad anyway....
    Hey Ron,
I wanted to let you know I haven’t forgot about the 5” rail mount. The front is done and next is the rear support ring. It will be a clamp style. Hope to have it done this week.
Here is a pic of the front.

It's still way too hot down here.
I did manage to fly my new "toy" today and bring it back home still in new condition though.
