Default seaking/turnigy 180 on 6s. BEC OR NO BEC?

    Hi all,
So I just read somewhere that you arent supposed to run the t/180 sk180 on 6s with the bec on? Well I smoked my esc on the 2nd run recently using 6s. I also was using the bec. Can someone please explain to me if your not supposed to use it and why.
    Thanks

I wouldn't run any esc on 6s with the bec. 5s an below are fine to run with the bec. After 6s run with a Rx battery

bec or no bec won't cost your esc on fire, ppl recommended rx pack cuz glitching and lacking distance issue, nothing wrong with your setup either, how long did you run your boat, did you check temp of your 1st run and what was it?, the shaft does it spin freely....etc.

its like thousands reasons to burn an esc, bad sodder, bad connectors, bad motor, bad shaft, boat running too wet, its running too long, things got wet ...and finally you might just got bad luck by getting a bad batch of that esc, I pretty sure you made one of those mistake, just double check everything again.

So far all my run in my Pursuit on 6s has been with the build in bec connected,
    And the setup is 4074 1800KV, T180a with added caps, 6s 40c 5000mah turnigy pack, X447/3 prop.
I did not think I had to run a rx pack.

It was snowing out so I know it didnt get hot.... Also used my new flysky it4 with the voltage and temp sensors. Im pretty sure it didnt hit temps over like mid 70s. Im running a wiredrive. The esc smoked as I plugged in my 2nd pack of lipos on the stand. It mightve gotten wet... I think it was just a bad one

does this also include a seaking 90A-120A?

to be safe i use a receiver pack/external bec for 5s because i don't want to burn up the esc,but if someone has tested this on 5s with a mild set-up i'm not going to do that anymore

    thanks
