Default Need help with install of esc

I purchased a pair of Leo 4074 motors, seaking 180 amp esc's and new flex shafts for my Impulse 31 v2 and Blackjack 29. Everything installed ok for the BJ 29 and I have the motor in the impulse. The problem comes with the esc, the seaking 180 is a very tight fit going into the same location as the stock unit, it fits but then the cooling lines will be crimped unless I cut away some of the wood near that location. Do you think this will be a problem with the integrity of the boat if I cut some of the wood away. I am running two 3 cell 5000mah Gens Ace lipo's so there is no room to mount the esc in front of the motor. Has anyone used this esc in their boat that has a photo they could share with me or some advise on the best way to do it.
    Regards.
    Mike.

Well I managed to get it in with no issues by removing some of the wood. I will post a picture tomorrow evening on how it fits with the 4074. So far I am very pleased with the results.
