Monica told me the same thing, but I didn't think of telling them that I plan to use a 40mm motor ( 4074 or Neu 1515 1y), just e mailed her now and hopefully it is not too late.
    Your plan sounds really good!

A Dremel is your friend...easy to make or enlarge some holes to accommodate the larger motors...I did that on my P-Sport version.

Has anyone checked to see if this hull is legal under the NAMBA and IMPBA Sport Hyrdo rules?

From what I've been told and from looking at the rule book it is legal for P Sport.

If someone who knows what it actually means can draw me a diagram of what needs to be measured from where, I'll measure mine and let people know...I read the IMPBA rule book and its a mystery to me........#6,7,and 8 of the p-sport rules are whats potentially in question..

Cool. The only reason I ask is because everyone assumed that the first gen Phil Thomas Stealth hull was legal in NAMBA, but it turned out that it wasn't. I didn't want anyone to have a similar surprise with this.. especially if they are planning to bring one to the NAMBA Nats in June.

If I read section 6 properly that the distance for ride pads needs to be for a 32" hull between 12.8" (60%) and 16" (50%) forward of the transom (measured from the bow)...mine measures in at 14.25" to the step (ride pad).

Not sure if I did this right...so until a NASA scientist chimes in, I won't measure anymore.

At the NAMBA Nats that I attended, each heat race was timed for record keeping purposes. The top 3 finishing boats from each heat were subject to teching (Measured, cell check, etc) I got teched 4 times... BUT I look shifty

Got word from Monica, they are going to install the 40mm motor mount ring! Seems TFL is really quite on top of their game.

So far all the dealings I've had with TFL and Monica have been topnotch! Definetly the best overseas company I've dealt with!!

Version 2 of the PT Stealth 30 is NAMBA Legal. It was the original version that wasn't. Transom bottom was about 1/2" too narrow.

    Hi.
The leads are the safety loop that we must use for racing here in Australia.
I epoxy a piece of 3/8" timber with two holes in it for the female bullets, under the deck. Two holes drilled through the deck to match.
The female bullets, with a short piece of wire and a connector to suit the battery on one & the ESC on the other, are epoxied into the timber protruding through the deck a bit.
The actual loop is a short piece of wire with a male bullet on each end.
Here's a pic of the loose bits.
The other piece of timber & brass tube in the pic is just a water outlet.
