Default Atomik barbwire prop and motor upgrade?

Is there an upgrade prop and motor for the barbwire?
    Thanks

The motor can't be upgraded without ripping out the current motor mount and glassing\epoxying in a conventional one. The ESC is on the verge of blowing with the current setup so a larger one (35 Amp.......no larger as this boat is weight-sensitive) would be required. Other's have tried difference props with success but you'll have to do a search.

Octura X432 balanced and sharpened. You will want to step up the ESC. I'm running an Atomik Pro Brushless Marine 50 Amp ESC with great results.

Watching those vids makes me miss the warm weather! :)

Looks pretty good! Ever run anything to test speed on it vs stock? I found some speed test apps for a cell which would work well...just dont know how i feel about strapping phone to the boat haha

if your not into doing upgrades the minimono out of the box with a good lipo and prop wouldn't be much slower than the hopped up barbwire. it surprised me everytime I drove it. add a 3800kv motor and it's insane (with seaking 35amp esc). if the minimono was selfrighting it would be the winner to do it over again I would get the barbwire because the do flip and roll a lot. Both are nice little boats. My son loves his.

Will the stock ESC that ships with the boat be okay with this prop? I got the boat yesterday. Also, I see that you ran some thunderPower 2700's?? wow. What was your run time, and did the boat right itself okay with the added weight? Was it slower with more weight at all? Thoughts?

I've run 2200mah batts and the boat is much slower with them and isn't as fun to run. It works and runs longer but handles poorly. The biggest problem I've found is the stock esc's lvc is set way to high. When it cuts in my batts are still at 3.9 per cell.

what llipos are you using? The turnigy 2200s im using add weight. But doesnt really affect handling or speed..... The extra time was def. a +. It still even self rights with the bigger lipos....

Also my lvd cuts in at 3.4-3.6 on mine from what i remember. Sometimes lower. Do u have the v1 or v2 esc?

little quick inrunner motor mount i hacked up for the barbwire bit sloppy lol, just need to drill 2 holes on each side will bolt directly to the stock moulded in stand offs of the hull, going to try and do a 3d printed one next.

but just an idea if you dont want to hack up your hull

    best regards

The stock prop is 30mm. I just fixed up a barbwire for my gf's nephew. I installed a S & B Octura 430 prop. Even though the shaft is only 3mm, when it butt's up against the drive dog and secured with prop nut, it runs balanced and square.

I wonder how that scorpion motor is mounted in one of the above posts... #17 ???

The stock battery needed to be destroyed since one or more cells went bad. Yes, it seems LVC is very conservative, safe but, it doesn't help cycle the pack well.

Try 15 degrees. Outrunners prefer higher timing.

Will try that next time ...the boat jst too small for that motor...

My thinking is lower the timing to get the possible lowes speed I can get without

Lower timing on an outrunner can add heat and not change much else.

Hard to tell if you bolted motor in with or without drilling holes in mount??
