I'm already planning on this, Fred, and hope it turns out to be a HUGE, in FE terms, event...

Please note that, based on the rules, N1-Mono is only a 3-Lap on a 1/6th mile course, not 6. No reason that a current N1 Mono can't go 6, and at a 30+mph clip, but that's what the rules say...

    Fred,

Just so people know... I have THREE hulls that I will be setting up for N1 Mono... My primary hull, of course, and two revisions of the same. I plan on making them available for two entrants to race in N1 Mono... Not to fill the class... not too worried about that, but just to give a couple others the chance to experience the THRILL (hehehehe) of racing the current generation of N1. It's not too far off the N2 classes of old... Figure on speeds of 34-36mph in heat racing trim...

As we get closer to the event, I'll figure out how to offer these up. Want to make sure I have them ready to go first.. :)

    Thanks Fred.

Darin, you may as well build 6 so we can guarantee a class. All 6 will only take up half a hard case golf bag leaving room for your tunnel.

Not a chance... NO WAY am I building any new ones... WildThing Rev 3 is the last one I build... I just happen to have them so I figured I'd have them available...

Maybe I'll give my primary boat to one of the kids that can race and see if I can coach them to a National Championship!

    Fred

Are we still allowing space for race trailers? Special ordered my trailer last week. Figured someone has to give Haines a little challenge.

    John

with this being a nationals we have to list the class as namba class with that being said

T-offshore specs boat must be 60" or under any electric power can go from 6-10s 12000 mah limit 4 minute run time
T-Cat same as above just a 6 lap sprint

these are what we called open cat and open offshore at the Michigan cup last year

Guys... just for reference... Catamaran is now an official class in NAMBA.

    8. CATAMARAN
    a) General Rules
    i) Catamaran rules are intended as a supplement to the General Racing
rules of NAMBA. In the case of conflict, the Electric Catamaran
    rules will prevail.
    b) Hull Specifications
    i) Catamarans shall be a stand-off scale version of an Offshore
Catamaran style of hull, with two sponsons that normally run the full
    length of the hull.
ii) Sponsons are separated and connected together by a tunnel.
iii) Sponsons may have lateral breaks.
iv) Inboard or outboard mounting of the motor(s) is permissible
    v) Hull length must conform to those listed in Rule D.2.a in this section
    for each Power Specification

Part v) indicates that the class is open to ALL power specifications per D.2.a.

    Therefore, N1, N2, P, P-Ltd, Q, and T, are all eligible for a Cat class at a National event.

T=Open, for those of you still waiting for your coffee to brew... :)

    Darin,

I believe T is still just Q and T or did that change?

Tyler... Ignore the bottom part... Here is a snapshot of the Power Specifications table...

The bottom was just tinkering for the other thread...

The way I read it... Q is it's own class, and T is it's own class, but T can be run with anything from Q to T...

    Yes Darin is right

    Q is only 6s with a 10,000 mah limit
    T is 6s to 10s with a 12,000 mah limit

so if you have a q-offshore you can run it in t-offshore also, that is what I did at the Michigan cup last year just put in 2-6s 6000 instead of 2-6s 5000
and I won the class running with Pags, haines, tucker, droby it was not easy but I just stayed on the pins so it can be done

    Hey Guys,

I was going through the list of classes I would like to run and noticed SV27 is on the list.

    Any special rules?

At the 2011 Nats, we ran stock and modified(prop only)

    Thanks,
    Mike
