    Default Pursuit testing with a 4074 1800kv 180a ecs x447/3 on 6s ?

    Hi.
I was going to try my pursuit on 6s just to do some testing and check what temps I get,
With more amps feeding the setup.
I just planned on doing some nice short speed runs and checking things over at 2 minutes runs.

What do you guys think is this a good or bad idea ?

    Thank for any input.

What ESC? That sounds like a LOT of prop on 6s. You're talking about 40,000 rpm there......I think even a 2 blade 447 would be too much for that setup.

Esc is seaking v2 with 5 added caps on it,
The setup has be running good on 5s so far with lower temps than on 4s.

I would probably prop down to like an x440 or 438 to start just to be safe, you can always prop up but it can end up being too late to prop down :D.

    Sounds like a plan than.
I will start with a x440/3 and see how things look,
Than if all looks good I will try something a little bigger on it.

No such thing as too much! (unless the hull tosses itself out of the water and lands 50+ feet away from where it started- then you might want to drop cell count a bit :D..)

Yeah, I tend to overpower things.. Turbo 9 second fox body mustang, my 3D planes, my boats, etc. Always been that way.. When hunting for motors for one of my planes years ago, the shop owner said "you don't want that one for that plane- that is like putting a Ferrari engine in a Pinto"- I said "PERFECT!" lol.

I am sorry but this is funny to me and very wet to,
Just say no and do not drink a drive when testing a new boat setup.

If you guys are doing that with a 4074 1800, I am really underworking my 4082 1600... 4s x445 in the pursuit now and 6S x642 in the daytona. However, I went this route to be able to run 8S as well, which is just destructive in the pursuit and very impressive in the Daytona!

    6s 1p or 2p?

For 1p an m445 is the best.

    Recently i setup one with T180-tenshock czii 2250/5 (2560kv) 4s m445 63+mph

The pursuit i setup is 4s also.
    The rest via mail.

Also the Tenshock is 3500w ....not 2600w and it is quality motor.

These boats just need some wings and they can fly away,
I like the sun setting runs and tunes to add to the fun.

That just a 1/2" wider than my Daytona,
And with that hull you need to watch how you prop it because on torque roll from the prop.
    I just us a x442 on mine or a m445,
    But I should try a 3 blade.
Because they help a lot with V hull torque problem on the V hull boats I have modded so far.

my set up is a 40/82 1600 kv.maybe my earlier statement was a little premature. i am just a little excited at the fact i am running a 442 in the high 40's with nothing getting up to 90 deg.

Well I ran 6s1p today with a x440/3 and gps speed was 48mph,
And temps were lower than on 4s1p.
I wanted to try the x447/3 but it got modded today by a big painted turtle,
It looks like he was trying to add a little more cupping to it.
He was about 18"long by 12" wide.
I was running at 36mph with gps on board when the transom came out of the water and it kick the rudder up.
That was lucky because I had the bolts pretty tight to,
I just need to give the prop some tlc to get it back in shape.

I get 55 mph with 1600kx/4082 on 6s1p and a M445 in my Cyberstorm. M445 may be a good step up from the 440/3.

Hmm, 55mph with the m445 on that setup, nice! Now I'm curious how fast my Daytona is with the same setup on the X642! I know 8S with the 642 was ballistic! I need to get another small GPS, my damn Note 2 is too big to stuff in the boats lol.

A good choice is prather 225-230.
I prefer them over octura on some cases.

Mine is actually a neu 1521 1y, so 1577 kv. A 642 was under 50 mph in same setup.

Strange. You'd think the more pitch would have helped MPH, not hurt it. Maybe too much lift? My Daytona really seems to like the 642 over the x445.
