I could have lent you a 1970 kv motor but, they are inexpensive. I tried one in my DF33 mono and it runs well with an M445 and M545. Still need to run it more.

Great motors and I might try on of these in a Whip 40 on 6S MOTOR

Doby, mind if I ask you where you got yours? from Hor Racing? The only place I know of is Kintec, but I like the green ones better. I did a search for TFL and nothing came up that I can order from

You think I'm wasting my time? I was planning to have the motor in open air for better cooling...

With 1970kv you can swing a heck of a prop with it in a hydro. Any idea on hull weight empty?

Well I'm glad to say that the green Popeye arrived today. Complete with the separately packaged 4082 2200kv motor & cooler.
Beautiful clear coat finish over all the paint & graphics.
Here's a surprise. I had been discussing with May, before she left, that if TFL put welded shafts in their boats instead of the two piece ones (and advertised the fact) they might increase their sales. She said that her 'Boss' spoke to the design department to see what could be done.
Guess what! mine has a welded 3/16" flex & strut.

Don't know if I'll have time to get it ready for this weekend, but I'll give it a go.

Hi dear Paul, I am glad that you receipt your Popeye and you like it as that you supposed.

    Hi Monica.
I had just Emailed you to thank you & then noticed here on OSE that you already saw my post.
Yes I will do a mini build thread & post some video of the test runs. Hopefully this weekend if work commitments allow.
