Well heck. How did I miss the video. Looks pretty stable. I thought it might get flighty with all that air trapped under there.

John, one of us needs to build a Blade on 10s too. HOR sells those in carbon fiber too.

The vid was on a pretty calm day last weekend, the weekend before it was just me at the pond with about 15 Mph winds...there wasn't much of a difference other than it was a bit faster in the light chop.

TFL is sending me a second Popeye Hull to set up with P-Power...should be interesting to see what it does...I have a 2000Kv Leopard ready for it and might try a 1521 1.5D as well.

The Popeye looks bulky enough to take a 1527/1D. Yikes.

Hey, P-Power (Voltages) are pretty much the most popular...so why not...Terry....any chance of running P sport Hydro at the Nats?

Absolutely. In fact, I'm building a P Sport for Fred out of that Reesor Whip20 I picked up from Nayman. I have SOOOO many builds to take care of this off season it's scary. Ordered a motor for 1/8 scale too.

Wait till you see this new mono hull. Absolutely beautiful to look at.

Wow. Great write-up on the new boat. Appreciate the speed reports and data. I was wondering when it would get the patented 'checkered flag' theme, and sure enough.....there it was!! Looks great!!

I am also building a P Sport. Thinking about getting the mid-sized ML Boatworks hull. The LSH version seemed to run so well last week!
I know of (4) people now in MMEU building P Sports.

Unfortunately since I sold mine I'm out. Been on the shelf for at least 3 years and no interest until now? Odd...

Not a replacement for LSH Ray. That's still where it's at.

Just another class some of our local yocals are playing with.

Awe I'm just sour grapes cause I burnt my PTSS at the cup. Should never of used an M445 without proper testing. A 4255 grimm would have been fine. I'm in the process of rebuilding it since it was toasted so bad. New motor mount, changes here and there...

What I miss are some of the N2 classes like N2 offshore. A MG24 would slip in real nice for that class... of course with hardware/drive mods.

Back to Popeye and the Sailor Man!!

Lets see how Popeye runs with NEU Spinach first...

I may build a second Whiplash or try a ML Boatworks...

Robert (LiPo Power) and I were at our pond today...wind was blowing pretty much 15Mph with gusts to 20Mph making for one end of the course to be rather "choppy". Got some vid of the Popeye in the turns in a 1"-2" chop. It bounced around a bit like all hydro's would , but it stayed planted on the water fairly nicely given the conditions.

    Vids to come shortly.....

I'd say she's running just perfecto-mundo right now. Did you do your own prop or get one from Dasbota ??

Looks nice & stable in the vids. Fills me with confidence.
I'd been interested in the hull for quite some time & after discussions with May from TFL I ordered one last month.
I'm glad to say that Monica sent me an email today saying that it has been posted. Unfortunately May has recently left the company.

I had ordered the 'green' version, & they had to manufacture it for me as it wasn't in production at the time. I ordered it without ESC, Motor or prop. But I also ordered one of the TFL 4082 2200kv motors to drop into it. May, Monica & TFL are very accommodating.
Can't wait for it to arrive.

Here she is ready to post.

    Hi Ron:

Here are the answers to your questions:
    https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...137#post520137

At that time the water was probably in the mid to upper 70's

85 degree water!!!!...what, are you going to run it in your bathtub!!

    Great vids!! Thanks!!

The bottom of the hull reminds me of the vacupickle. Also an awesome boat, but I think the unvented tunnel limits the speed before it starts to kite. I wonder how this boat will handle higher speeds??

it might be 80 degrees but its dam warm just like bath water...about the most I run is the m445 may have to try the 447 or h5 to see what speed I can get...I even went with the dinogy 4s batts

Well, hope to have my second hull here in a few weeks...I'll be trying a 2000 KV Leopard, a Neu 1521 1.5D, and I ordered a HK 1970Kv 600 size outrunner...they will be 4S2P setups.
