Looks sweet sounds great so far. Too bad I wasn't there to see it but, I will soon. I don't know if you would get 3 laps on a course like Michigan with the 447 but, It'll be cool if you can get 6 or 7!! Nice graphics, looks really good.

Looks like you might be on to something there. I to should stop by and see this bad boy running. Motor temp 119 I think I'm doing good if mine comes back in @ 135-140 with a M445.

Sometimes it's the UL-1 motor. Some of the old ones may be more robust than those of recent.

    Thanks Ray.

I think it will be fine for the 6 plus a mil lap........next week I'll start messing with the strut to see what else I can get out of it....pretty happy right now though...fresh batteries might help next season as well.

wow, is it "POPEYE"? Looks far different. Your design makes it look flying even when it is standing still.

    Hi John,

I have to admit, the Popeye is much pretty after you gave it dressing up. You have good handwork!

Added an old UL-1 turn fin....again, the original one did a surprisingly good job, but in race conditions, I think it would not be up to the task.

It looks a lot like a 5 Liter Hydro (Small V-8 powered Hydro)

The boat actually looks like a cross between a UL-1 and a FE 30.

Just ordered a new, properly balanced and sharpened X447 from Dasboata...mine is OK, but not great..

Robert (LiPo Power) and I were at the pond today and he took a few videos.. He even was so impressed that he sent Monica (TFL Hobbies) an PM to see about purchasing one!

The addition of the UL-1 turn fin made it turn "on rails" in the corners.

I'm liking this boat more every time I run it.

I had watched the video of Doby's Popeye boat.
Doby has a good skill of race.
LiPo Power is a good photography.
    Both did a good job!

Reminds me of an over sized version of the old Andy Kunz UL1. Interesting how different the direction is on this. The Whips, Insane and even the Thomas have done everything they can to get the air out from under the tub. Effectively making them run like riggers. This will pack the air and keep it. Which might be okay with the shape of the top. Let us know how it runs.

TFL has sent me something interesting too. I'll have to make my own thread when I get it. It's a monster though. Ordered some psycho power from Steve for it. Need a place to race it though.
