    Default New to rc boating

I bought a pro boat impulse 31 v2 over the weekend. Running on two 3s 5000mah lipos.

The boat is a lot of fun but bounces alot when close to wot.

    Here is a quick video.

Check the driveline height and angle. Sometimes going higher (vertically) and slightly downward (angle-wise) may reduce porpoising. Also, try moving the packs forward a bit.

I put the packs as far as they can go towards the front every time I used it.

I also raised the drive line up but not sure how to adjust the angle.

I also moved the tabs all the way up and bent them down to be flush with the bottom of the hull. Maybe slowing moving them down will help?

    Thanks for your help.

Angle the trim tabs down a bit and the bounce will go away.

Post Better Trim Tabs & Turn Fins

stadiumyamaha advised adjusting the trim tabs down, he's right. Manual says to bust out a large set of pliers to do the job, wrong answer.

Pliers my a$$, these bolt on replacements are the right answer... http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=ros-spdt-150 - they will make it far easier for you to get your boat dialed in correctly -- Well worth the $16 for the time & hassle they'll save you.

Look at the transom of the AQ Revolt, they come from the factory with adjustable tabs similar to the SM's - there's a reason for that

UPDATE: I found this thread after my original post, the contents say it all... https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...IM31-Turn-Fins!! - Using those with the SM trim tabs should make your boat handle much better.

    Good luck & happy boating
