Default Delta force 41 mono or delta force 36 explorer

Hi Guys, I got a spartan for now , but i want to buy a fiberglass boat , because i want a more stable boat and of course been able to repair it !! I first bought the spartan because i was a newbie in FE boat and already got some traxxas trucks , that s why i began with it .

Now i m looking for a better hull . I m not a guy how want to break speed record , just want to bash and have fun! I really like to drive in choppy water and jump wave , doing turns .....

I was looking at the OSE and been hook on the 2 model , the delta force 36 explorer cat and the delta force 41 mono and i can't decide myself !!???

Do you guys got some experience with one or the other and can give me some advise and tips to decide me ?

    I got in stock a leopard 4092 1390 kv , t180 esc , 4 dinogy 3s 5000 mah 65c to put in it !!

    Thank's for your help !

the delta force mono is bigger by 5" and is a lot stronger build wise. better in my opinion all around, for what you want to do.

Thank's !! For sure , first the DF 41 mono is fiberglass , better than abs plastic, and the V seen to be better for stability on higher speed run . The Cat , IMO and what i seen on youtube , they are a very stable boat for very high speed straight , but for turning in wave ??? I don't know !! I think more to go with the mono !!

I appreciate that you take time to answer !!

The pursuit is a nice running hull to,
    Just it is only 32".
But so far I like the way it rides,
I still need to do some testing where the jet ski's run and in some real boat prop wash.
Than I will take some video's of it's handling in it.

I sub to your channel last week and check some of your video !! The pursuit seen to be very stable in choppy water , it run like on glass ! You said is only 32" long , but the wide is very large and give it a stable run !!

Do you think the hull can handle a leopard 4092 1390 on 6s ?? Cuz , i got one in stock with the t180a , so i want to put it in my next hull ?

Did you try it in bigger wave ??

    Thank's for your comment !

It should be a pretty good runner,
You will be at 30858 rpm unloaded.
    1390kv * 22.2 volts = 30858 rpm.
Hear some one that may have run that setup all ready.

Next video's should have some better chop to try in,
The video you saw was in 30 mph wind gusts on that day.

    Banzee.
I run a Nue 1527/1y (1250kv) on 6s in a 41" Osprey. They say is's a copy of the 41" Delta Force. At least the bottom half.
It runs pretty well in choppy water.

The 1527 is more powerfull than the leopard 4092 ? Or almost in the same range ?

Yes. More powerfull & a lot more efficient. Won't get as hot with the same size props.
    I run a 447/3 blade & a 450/3 blade prop. Every thing is cool after a race.

DO you have torque roll problem with that motor / prop setup ? I don't think so cuz you used it !! Do the 3 blades work better on that hull than two blades ?

No torque roll problems. The 41" hull is stable enough. I prefer 3 blade props on all my mono's. The boats handle better in my opinion. A three blade prop is usually a bit smaller in diameter than the two blade prop you would run.

I like the three blade to on mono's,
Because it helps with torque roll problems on mono,
Especially with very narrow hulls like my Rio ep and p1 kos.
They just look like they run so much smoother with the three blade props to.

How it handle in turn , do the 3 blades make some cavitation , or it hook up and make turn ?

Do you put your prop more in the water or it is the same installation like a 2 blades ? I ask because i tries a 3 blades on my spartan and got a bad result , but i think is the v hull design who make it not working properly on it , but the pursuit and DF 41 have not the same v hull design , i m sure it make a difference for the prop !!

I just put it on and run it and see how it rides,
Than if it is not riding the way I like it.
    I will make some adjustments.

And the three blade work for me fine in the turns at good speeds.
Are you talking turns for racing ?
Or sport running and hairpin turns and bashing for fun ?

I talk about bashing and sport driving , like in choppy water and jumping waves !! IMO , the 3 blades will help keep the forward motion because it got more surface blade to push the boat !!

Hear is a V mono I thought was very cool,
And than I started modding the 36"shockwave you see in my video's.
It is no where as nice as this one but will do for now.

These came out nice to in the end.

Shockwave is all stock hardware but modded a little,
And is running on 4s with 4074 2200kv motor and a 120a seaking esc with some added caps and a x446/3 prop.
Top speeds gps at 45 mph,
It was just stuff to try in it I had laying around and it runs pretty good with some scale looks,
But I will paint it and redo the setup down the line.
I may try a T600 1400kv outrunner in it and see how it does and sounds.

Ok , does the heli motor help for torque roll or chine walk , or it change nothing , and are more powerfull than the rc boat motor that we put ? Because , it is the can who turning , maybe it got more torque !

    Not sure on that,
But the motor has a lot of power and torque.
Plus they sound pretty cool but can run a little hot with no water cooling,
I was thinking of a modded motor mount for a way of water cooling them.

For sure with the outside of the motor who turning , you have to put a motor mount with a water cooling in it so it can be running more cooler .

I'm going to try some old packs (10s1P), suppo 6-11S 80 esc with the T600 880kv both in a heavy 31" cat and in my light 40" mono. I have water cooled motor mounts from China @ $15 a piece or less made by Vantex.

They have then in blue, red and clear anodized. They are an odd 3.5 approx wide with sides on.

On second thought I might just stay on 5S2P and the 1400kv vesrion. 32,000rpm is quite high. On 5S2P 5000's you can swig up to a x450 for 6 laps at about 55mph... at least that what my Promise hobby 31" heavy cat was doing a few years ago...
