    Default MHZ 84cm Mystic P Cat SAW Project w/Lehner 1930's & MGM esc's.

    The boat and hardware were traded for some assembly work on several other boats. Build includes:

    MHZ 84cm Mystic in Carbon/Kevlar
    MHZ high speed drives and rudder assembly
    Lehner 1930 HiAmp LK motors with MBP couplers
    MGM 28026 ESC's
    Futaba Low Profile BLS551 steering servo
    Batteries will Dinogy 4S 5Ah or Hyperion 4S 5Ah

    I ordered the Lehners with the 6 output option so for SAW I can run Delta (as shown) and for play running I can wind in Wye.
    The nose will be filled with foam and tips have epoxy+filler to give them a little extra strength in case of hit or more likely an accidental drop.
    I am running 1/8" flex cables which should hold up fine although I was a little disappointed to see the right hand twist cable is stiffer than the left hand twist. Hopefully the extra stiffness will not cause too much drag.
    I still need to scuff the bottom and add numbers and sponsors to make it a legal boat.

    Going to try and hit 100mph and then I will likely sell the boat and keep the power system for another project.

    Nice Tyler! Get some video when you take it out...I would love to see this one running!

    I have one of these hulls under progress now as well. I didn't like the idea of running the small flexes though...you really think 1/8" will hold up to 100mph?

    Keith,

    We'll see..... The flexes are decent quality and the 1930's are not torque monsters so I think they will be OK. It might be the prop spinning 47k RPM coming out and back in the water that kills it. I only plan on running 40-42mm props.

    I am sure Tony will take a video if it is at Legg Lake or you might see it at Flint later this year.

    Let me know when you do. I want to redo one of my 32 inch fightercats in a mystic hull. Definitely would buy it hull and hardware...

    I'm looking forward to seeing how you do with it Tyler. It should be a rocket by the sounds of it!

    If you do bring it to Flint, see if you can get some lower KV motors in it so you can run Q.

    Keith,

    It is a dual wind, so I can rewire to Wye at 2500kv and run it in Q. I would still have to work out a way to connect the battery packs to see a common voltage per IMPBA rules for either class. I am more likely to bring my N2 mono and Q rigger though.

    Hey guys, Twins are not an option for the P classes in the IMPBA. They are only allowed in Q, S & T. Good luck with the build Tyler. You do great work.

    Hi Tyler, did you ever run this?

    I know the thread is ages old.

    I've just picked one up with big plans on a L6 setup, previously it did 184km/h on a L4 setup (uk rules mean i can run 6s2p in L6 so will try nudge closer to 200km/h and further...)
