Default how do you guys carry your boat ?

    Hi

I take/grab my boat by hand or under my arm going to the car or from the car to the lake (sometimes 500 yards from parking) and its quite heavy sometimes with all the batteries and all the stuff. worse if I'm into carrying my two 32" boats in one shot.

do you have any tricks/tips to share with me?

I tried the sport bag but it was to short and I don't want to put 2 hulls in the same bags with all the hardware mounted and so...

    thank you !

That is a great question Crusty, can't always back the truck up to the waters edge. Looking forward to seeing everybodies creative ideas for multi-boat/tool-kit transport to/from the water. There's got to be some custom carts out there...Converted Radio Flyers or garden/dock carts?

I build the same kind of stands as Jim out of scrap lumber. A bungee wrapped around the stand and boat holds everything in place for longer trips.
Not a big fan of the PVC or ABS pipe stands, can build someting stronger and more stable for near free.
Some of my wood stands have been in use since the 80's!, just have to replace the foam padding every few years.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

If I have a long walk I use a lugage cart and just load it up. No problem to go anywhere. The good thing is thats rare because I just drive right up to the lake, walk 20ft, put my SAW boat in, drive down to the end and make some passes.

There is one of those ropes on each side of my stand

Flotation: i just sprayed a product called "great stuff" in the bow of a hull. Seems to work really well and also adds some strength. Keep in mind it does expand. Spray some let it dry and then add more as needed.

Hope you never have to do a repair with that crap in there! Horrid stuff, most people also believe it absorbs some water over time, the stuff I pulled out of used hull I bought certainly seemed to weigh more than it should have. People have also reported that in high temps it can expand and bulge the decks.
The 2 part stuff you mix yourself is a different foam than the can spray foam.

I took some great stuff out of a radio box after some time. I squeezed water out of it just like a sponge, it definitely absorbs it over time.

Took me a sec to see the boat. You gonna bring that to LA in November? I'm just about drooling right now.
