Default Spartan with 200amp swordfish need ubec?

I have a spartan with leopard 4074. 1650kv and swordfish 200amp esc. I have read that the swordfish is rated for only 4s and I am planning to keep running it on 3s in series so should I cut the red wire on the esc and run something like a castle ubec? Running a series straight out of the esc to keep the amount of plugs down, I can just solder the ubec to the red and black wire out of the esc and don't need to worry about the series wire between the plugs?

    Hi Mulisha,
I'm trying to do the same thing.
From what I have read with the CC BEC, they really want you to run it straight from the Positive and Negative straight off a single battery. Not off the ESC Positive & Negative (that's if you are running about 3s in Parallel).
If you down load the instructions with diagram of the Castle Creations website, it's really clear on which wires to cut, depending on which set up.
