Are you running 1P or 2P? I have a custom wide tub JAE that I used with a Neu 1521 for record ovals but cant fit two 4S 5000 packs in there. Would love to see an interior shot.

Only 1p but I'm sure you can fit 2 packs if you wanted you can have one pack behind the motor and one between the carbon tubes in Australia we are limited to 150grams per cell max witch works out to be 6600mah hive or take.I'll try post a pic later.what kv is your 1521?

It was 2900. Only good for about three or four laps. We run two lap oval trials in the states (IMPBA). Most 4s 5000 mah packs wont fit forward of the rear boom tube. Thunderpower does make a 4S 6600 mah pack that would probably work for my tub (1/4 inch wider than stock). Don't know if it would fit in a standard tub though. I have a Neu 1518 2340kv motor I may try for heat racing. I think that is a more popular motor in your neck of the woods than in the US.

As you can see my battery is behind the motor and I could still fit one more 4s pack if I wanted my can is longer than your 1521, 92mm so you shoud be fine.DSC_0091.jpgDSC_0093.jpgFirst time im posting pics here hope you can see them. Most popular motor down here for 4s riggers are the neu 1515 1y and sum run 1518s like the one you got and there is a guy with a 1527 2300kv.I have no experience with neu motors I did have a 1415 1y it was exelent for its size but my tp4060 its a beast.

Hi Wayne you are correct 150 was in 2010 now is 162.5 and the packs I want to use are 190grams maybe I'll wait a few more years until they catch up to me.I race at the model boat club of nsw this thread is about Ea hydros set ups 4s1p , most guys I know, two have Taipans riggers and two have xz3s riggers all running 1515 1y. No one runs 1518s at my club the only 6s class we have is Eb tunnel Tp and leopard motors are used. But who knows I had neu, leopard and now a tp motors ON my jae21fe but by far my tp set up is superior and I had to share it with jae21fe owners.Where do you runn Wayne?
