Are you running 4s? The Horizon support team claims the stock prop is actually pitched for 6s running, so it's a little under-propped on 4s power. If you're running 6s, the stock prop is the tallest you can run, and it's already a stretch.
I sharpened and balanced my stock prop and ran almost 60 mph on the stock motor and ESC.

x642 works great and runs cool on 4S.

On stock electrics I'm going to try a x440 3 blade should get it going

I detounged the stock prop sharpened and balanced it and cupped the tip's. on 6s the boat ran awesome! I did not have a GPS or radar to get any speed data but mid 50 is not a stretch. (It's always nice to hear some one on the beach yell! Holly crap look at that boat go)
I'm interested in trying different props as well so I'm subscribed.
