Thank you sir. Weather looks breezy tomorrow with a front passing through but Saturday looks good with clearing skys and light winds. Records are cool but running boats with friends is what it's all about!!

You take it easy this weekend!!

Records were broke...... boats were broke. Equipment was toasted.

I think we may have had FE records broken by a half dozen people. Everyone had to work for it! We have a few new FE record holders. We aint done.

Chuck it was great seeing you. Can't wait to see your bad A$$ FE T-boat run! Ferette may have some 5S packs he'll see you cheap. Slightly used...

I guess Don was planning on making them into French Fries because they were soaking in salt water last time I saw them.

It was windy and cold this morning. Not too many people ran but there were some more records taken. When I left around 11AM Ben and Jason were braving the elements trying for some more stock and super stock classes. Ben was hoping waves with his little cat. I don't know how that thing stayed right side up for two full laps but it did. I'm not going to say much about what time he ran but it was slightly better than the Steam Record.

Congrats to my Capitol Club mate Chip Gibbs for taking his first IMPBA record. Chip, you did a great job running the bouys for the first time. Contrats also to Jason (Hazegray)..... And there was one other new guy that took his first FE record. I think his name was John Finch.... It took five years but I'm pretty sure we've got the FE hook in him!

Rest?? I got home and immediatly started working on getting boats ready for next weekend. LOL I've got the Limited Motor back in the FE30 and have to straighten out a rudder on the P-Mono.

One more thing worth mentioning. Don Ferrette had a T Hydro that was absolutely balistic. The motors were screaming like nothing I've ever heard and the boat turned on a dime.

Nice Pics Jason. Love one of the red mono. That's Trent Ghattas's Aeromarine Vector. It clearly shows how the chine sheers the water away from the hull.

How many records did you and Ben end up with? I understand we also have a new young record holder.

I think Ben got 2 I got 4 but 3 of them Ben and I did as a team since I used his motors and esc's but I did the driving. Yeah we did have a new young record holder and he did a real good job of driving that little mono I know hes got one proud papa.

For the record Chilli, that was a sport hydro and you are right, it was a handful, but it is an absolute testiment to what a 14.75" hull can do in 20+mph wind! I managed to put together 4 laps total and it finally flipped when I wasn't paying attention, coming back to shore. LOL!

They say I'm crazy and after seeing that, maybe I am! One thing is for sure, you have to finish two laps and I'm pretty sure I could hear bets being made behind me regarding which section of the course I was going to lose it in. I just couldn't tell over my own laughing!

I was trying to catch up on honey do crap when I got home yesterday so I didn't get a chance to go into detail Ben or Meniscus was a huge help to me getting my boat ready for each event. He let me use his motors and esc's because they were the new versions Tekin just released and mine was the old one. He also helped out with my driving which was a huge help in the beginning and seemed to be good luck after that. He also let me use his Lipo packs since we had different connectors on our motors and packs. In short if Ben hadn't been there to help me at my first time trials I wouldn't have set 4 records 3 of which are Team records with Ben. We have allot more planned for the class and plan on being at the fall saw event and Ovals next year! Also a big thanks to Danny aka Diegoboy for the tool kit he sent with his boats unfortunately we didn't get a chance to run his due to technical problems and the weather but his tool kit was a lifesaver.

Jason, thank you for your kind words. You definitely did a great job with adapting to drive around the courses and exercising patience with the challenges presented with a smaller models and low voltage. This is just the start of a lot of fun! Sorry to hear you're hooked

Chip, it was great to meet you! I will say that you have obviously put a lot of time and effort into your setups and it shows that you were well prepared for the event. Hopefully you'll have a better opportunity with the weather on the other course because it's obvious that you could have had the record if it wasn't blowing 15-20mph at the time!

Sundial! Very funny. I just wish someone had a video of that run because it wasn't poking along. I had my hands full and it was far more challenging than running my N rigger around in the 70s. It really is amazing that something so small can run in that. I shudder to think what the scale size of the swells would be. For the record, I shaved something like 13 seconds off between the two back to back runs.

Hey guys not to be nitpicky but my name is spelt Boushard not bouschard :) Hate for people to think its not me lol. You guys that think you don't want to race you just run for fun etc are missing out if you don't just come hang out and watch. I had a blast and would have had fun just watching even if I didn't have a boat to run. Thanks to everyone that put it all together.

Thanks for the correction Jason. I was going to fix it but I think someone beat me to it. This was just an unofficial list that KP typed up quickly. That was really nice of him to take the time to do this only one day after the event. If you filled out the paperwork, Mr. Smock will get it right on the certificate.

Ditto on people attending these events. Record Trials are the ultimate test and tune sessions. We're blessed in D12 with some of the best boaters in the country. Whether a trials event or heat race, everyone freely shares their knowledge, tools and parts to help members achieve their goals.

I'd love for you guys to do a road trip and come up for a district race this year. I'm also hoping ODMBA get's their pond situation squared away. If not, we'll see you in the fall!

One thing I forgot. Thanks to Doug for the Smocktura prop John and I used to take the P-Sport Hydro records. I've had it for a couple years and was saving it for just the right moment. I cut the heck out of my finger installing it on the Insane on Saturday morning. LOL

While mother nature threw us a couple curve balls still had a good time hangin' with all my boatin' buds and shreddin' some water. Jason you snapped a few badazz pics of my boats, would really like to maybe get a copy of of a couple if you're good with that.
