Hey I have been thinking of putting either leopard 56 110s in my boat or twin 2028s. I have noticed a lot of guys have been putting 12s voltage in there 1/5 scale buggies with 2028 motor just wondering if anyone has gone this route with a boat (12s operation). Yes it will void warranty and many people will say not to do it but most 700-750kv motors ARE capable of 12s, just wondering if castle was being cautious? The 56 110 leopard at 780kv is rated at 12s, many people have really pushed the leopard motors and with castle being a superior brand just wondering what others have experienced. Thanks.
I used the ose calculator for a motor with 92% efficiency and we're looking at 717 rpm loaded if that number is accurate. On 11s we're a bit shy of 30,000 like 29,500. I hope someone corrects me so I don't blow up a few very nice motors lol although they can now be had for $235 on a few sites.
