Default Supervee 27 rudder blade cooling pick up

I'm in the process of rebuilding a used Supervee 27 that I've just got. is the rudder blade water pick-up adequate for cooling the ESC and motor? I'm thinking of using the newer 27R cooling water pick-up tube assembly or maybe even both, and has anyone ever relocate the cooling water outlet to the transom aiming up so the water shooting out can be seen easier like the Yamaha Waverunners.

    Hey bud,
I'm using the stock 27 pickup and have no cooling issues at all on 45 or 60 amp ESC with 1800 Kv motor and 42x55 grim prop.
I removed the extra transom pickup someone added when I rebuilt...just unneeded drag.
As for transom water outlet, I don't like them because your water out is very hard to see in the rooster rail. Side outlet is very easy to see.
    Very fun boat!
    Happy Rebuilding!!

Put the exit where ever you like. I usually put them out the sides so I can see water shooting out when it goes by,but plenty of people have exited out the top deck. Put it where you want. There's no rule. I've used the extra transom pickup on my old sv it worked fine. I always go with seperate cooling lines for motor and esc. Just my preference. Either way is ok.

Here is mine after a complete rebuild. I ran dual in and dual out. And will still run 40 all day long.
