    Default Supervee 27 hatch latch

How secure is the stock rear hatch latch? I notice a lot of people use hatch tape to secure their hatch, and is it a special tape or can I just use Scotch tape?
    Thanks,

You need to tape the hatch to keep all the water out.
Use clear hockey shinpad tape, cheaper and as near as I can tell the same thing as "hatch tape". 3M is better than Renfrew, goes around curves easier, really doesn't make much difference taping a SV, not enough of a curve.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

most people use what is referred to as hockey tape it serves a double purpose holding the hatch on and sealing the hatch to keep water out in case of a flip
