    Default Simon's little red boat

It was gathering dust on the shelf and needed a birthday so here it is.

This is a boat that began its development on another forum but I have now chosen to bring it here because........ ah, never mind !
    Here is the history
    http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_59...tm.htm#7069593

It is 22"long and has a pronounced vee at the bow and is fairly flat at the transom.

It has a Kyosho gearbox in there with a 1.5:1 drop giving 66% of motor rpm to the main shaft.

THIS is why the Reedy 30krpm motor is being sent here, so that I get 20k at the prop (unloaded rpm) This is how all my calcs work
I tried it the other day with this can and it was wild.

Given what I now know about monos and thrust angles etc I have chosen to lift the drive line of this little boat up so that the shaft is closer to the water line to loosen up the prop and deliver more speed..........I hope !!

Here are a few pics of the little bugger while it is in dry dock again. !!

The cabin top had a flap type opening in the rear so that I could poke the battery pack in and tape down the small opening.
This has been sealed with some new sheet and now the whole thing is ready for the paint shop.............the other end of my workshop.
I hope to get the primer on in the morning at work and then sand tomorrow night.
