    Default castle esc hydra 240

    My question is what the most volts I can run on the 240 hydra I know on it take 33 volts and 8s are 29 volts.10s is 37 can i get away wit 9s which is 30 volts which is under 33 volts and be safe?

    My answer is no you cannot. The manufacturer states a maximum of 8S, which is 29.6 nominal voltage. BTW, 9S is 33.3 volts - how did you get just 30 volts? That's a dead pack (3.3 volts per cell). I never run any aftermarket ESC at the maximum rated voltage. On the ICE240, 6S works great. If I need 8S I use the ICE200HV or equivalent.

    OK thanks I mis calculated I'm running 6s now in my hurricane mono with a nemsis 6pole with prather 270 prop getting 51mph temps are cool want to try 8s have to drop prop size in to 50mm range before I go with more lipos
