I'm going. Going to make an early run at SRQ since the breeze should be right down the runway and will be at Ackerman by 9:00
If nobody else is there I'll just come on back home.

I will be there for a few. Have stuff for ya Scott.
Anyone heard from Brian and how he is doing from the wreck?
Guess I'll load the boat then - see y'all shortly.
Considering the weekend forecast I sure am glad we didn't have a swap meet sheduled. It's looking to be a repeat of the weather we had for the one last February.
its a cold sob here for sure (louisville ky) going to 25 tonight and 20 tomorrow night....at least u guys aren't living in a drafty old motorhome lol...where is that thermostate anyway its cold in here

Good to know you're at least still surviving B. Check in once n a while when you can. Based on it sucking for a few months you'll be getting back to it about the time the weather gets hot.
One good thing about the cold weather we had this past weekend. It gave me motivation & time to get the Pursuit and Sprintcat ready to go again.
Not sure of what the weather will be like yet for this Sunday but curious as to who might be planning to come out.
Looks like it may be windy and very small chance of showers. If its calm and nice Ill be there, if not Ill be finishing a tile job instead to catch up for the week and a half my truck was down. And now ive got the funk cold as well so Im feeling peachy.
B, good to hear youre on the road to recovery. Keep positive and we will see you soon
Glad you are coming around Brian
Bill A and I are planning to attend Sunday

Count me in!
I may or may not be there. Depends on how the wife feels after she gets out of the hospital in a couple days.
Sunday looks good.

Bill, please enforce the badges. Let's not let this one fall thru the cracks. I have the neck straps and holders here if you wanna swing by after work and grab them
thanks bill but if i built something that big i want to ride in it not watch it go around the pond on display mode.

Well, got four boats prepped and the recovery boat battery is charged. Now all I have to do is finish charging running batts tomorrow.
I'll try to keep an eye out on the badges Scott. I was thinking about trying to do a recovery boat orientation, too. I hate seeing people get in it push off from shore and then try to figure out how to lower the motor. If we're going to keep the motor working right we really need to teach people how to lift it back out and turn it off when close to the bank too.
I think it would be great if we all put our heads together and drew up a basic set of rules/guidleines for our club then posted it on the website too. Here's my installment.
Recovery boat operation
1: No person other than a club member is to attempt operation of the boat.
2: Any club member that wishes to help with running the boat must first go through an orientation on it's operation, and be signed off by one of the senior officers (members?). (In this case I'd suggest Chris, Scott, Ray and myself since we're all pretty good with it and Brian's sort of out of commission for now)
3: If you are uncomfortable in the water and cannot swim do not even attempt to use it. (we really don't need any drownings in our group and Ackerman is plenty deep enough to do it in).
4: Not really as part of the rule, but... This is not being written to discourage anyone from using the boat. Being one of it's main operators I want to encourage eveyone that will to do so. We just need to do it safely and in a manner that helps keep the equipment alive. (Not to mention it will mean less trips out for me.)
hey if i ever get out of the great white north ill bring down a ski vest ill donate to the club

I think that's a fantastic idea. Looks as if the weather is getting gloomy for Sunday. If you all meet, let's schedule a recovery course for the next TNT. Lesson, familiarization and technique, etc, etc.
Thanks guys, wife got out of hospital late yesterday. At this time not sure about Sunday for me.
