Hey Mamba2200 I think I just asked you on another thread, but thanks for the reply. I would like to get to 60 MPH or as close as possible.

Will that Leopard 4074 fit under the cap of the motley crew? If so I will be getting that set you suggested.

That hull won't survive many crashes at 60mph without some serious reinforcement. First blow over the hatch will be stuffed in. Not a boat built to go much over 50 for any length of time.
The motor mount will bend in the first crash with a long can motor (mine bent with the stock motor). Mine has been gutted and most of the stock stuff is in the spare parts bin, About the only thing left is the hull and strut.
I'm really not to impressed with the quality of the hulls from AQs last couple of releases, very, very thin layup.
The were built to live in the 40-50 mph range, and that's pushing it. You have to remember these were built to a price point and designed to live with the stock power, under 400$ ready to hit the water, they have to cut corners.
Compared to my H&M cat my Motley is almost a toy grade hull. That one has been over many times at 60 without a problem. Just the hull is 250$.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

it will fit if you flip the stock motor mount

I have a MC and I'm running the same tacon Mamba recommended. I think I have an x447 on it and sometimes I run it on 5s. The boat is stupid fast and it needed reinforcement because it was cracking. I put two part foam in the hull and reinforced the lid with fiberglass. I personally think if you want a real fast boat that size you should look in to something like a mean machine. Here's a vid of it running on 5s.

OSE I got my motor 4074 and Leopard cooling jacket today. Do I need to lube anything to get it on the motor without hurting the o rings?

Thanks for the tip. I seem to be getting more and more into boats. Now I'm looking for a deep v or mono hull boat begining at 35" to about 40" electric. Any recommendations? I have look at the Spartan and the 41" at HOR. Any advise is good.

Mamba again thanks for the tip. I did have concerns about the Spartan. Now if you don't mind suggest to me the motor and ESC for the DF35. Also what hardware to use. I like that hull I saw on OSE. Looks like something I would have to build but thats fine too. For the DF 35 I just want to be all out fast.

Need help bad with my MC!!! I put in a new setup like Slapahond did in his MC... Tacon 2200 kv Seaking 180amp esc on 5s with a GR 42 x 55 prop and my MC barely got over 25 mph way slower than stock???? The rpm sound strong out of the water but in the water it's pretty slow. Got bullet connectors everywhere. Calibrated esc to my radio. Does the esc need to be programmed? I did mention I was a newby rite? Can anyone shed some light on my plight. Thought I would be hauln butt by now. Not a great feeling rite now.

    Thanks to anyone who replies!

Does the motor run faster when you put it in reverse?

What kind of batteries and what is the LVC set at on your esc? Factory setting is 3.2 v per cell so unless you changed it that's is probably what it is at. Also is it set to auto calculate ( factory setting) or for 5 s? Your motor is also better suited to 4 s

Thanks guys for your replies @Slapahond have not tried the rev, by that do you mean switch my radio throttle to rev? I have no reverse set for the boat @Theshaugnessy I have 1 5000 40c 7.4 2s and 1 5000 40c 11.1v 3cell to make up 5 cells. Does this sound like the correct battery pkg to run to get at 5 cell. It is according to my LHS. I just ordered a program card today from OSE. Any thoughts??

@ straitline one time when I put a new system on a car I had a similar problem, I then tried the car in reverse and it was way faster. Everything functioned properly after I reversed the throttle on the remote and I think I also had to switch 2 wires on the motor.

OSE, I'm finally happy with my MC and the new set up. Last week at the lake my boat was clocked at 53 MPH!!! I was pumped I just wanted to hit 50. I think with some tweaking I can get a little more out of it. I was a great day water had a slight ripple (small). MC was a little unstable just before I lifted off the trigger, but fast. I will begin to make adjustments to see if I can better that 53 MPH. But for now.......WOW..Thanks Mamba!
