After a bit of hard running on cool lake water, Temps are as follows:
Motor 75
ESC 80
Batteries 125-130
Is that normal? ... something incorrect?
Thanks,

Motor and ESC are perfect. How long did you run and what is the set-up. Batts get hotter as they approach low voltage cut-off. Best not to let bats go below 20%.
We nee the total set-up picture to evaluate.
What's the high and low numbers for ' Happy Battery Temps.'
6 -10 min. run times.
AquaCraft Wildcat EP, Leopard 3650 / 2450 kv, ProBoat 60amp esc, Stilleto 1.6 x 2.5 prop. 14.4v.
50-70degC i've been told, thats for cheap chinese batteries, not sure if that matters or not.
My 4AH would see 75degC after 5-7mind hard running, no puff ups still balance fine and run great....
Hope that helps somehow.
OMG that's some bad advice right there.
75'c is terminal for lipo cells....
Overheated cells fail, and reheat quicker.. .. before they self immolate
'Optimal' finish temp is below 50'c ( 130f )
There is a battery header on main forum.. go there for good solid advice.
burn and learn.

That's not bad for such a long run. Judging by your temps I would guess that you are running in some pretty cold water...that's the only explanation for your very low ESC and motor temps. I would also assume that if you took ESC temps at the caps they would be significantly higher.
I use 140F as the cut off for lipos, but I try to keep them cooler than that if possible. Doc's advice of under 130F is pretty reasonable.
Thanks. ...better now.
FYI - Temps taken from all over ESC, caps were the hottest, 80.
Water temp 50-55 :)
Thanks again,
