Novak and Atomik RC factory pilot Bill Oxidean sets yet another world record at the Lake X Time Trials October 19th in Portersville, PA. In the N-Super Stock Tunnel class the previous speed record was 37mph and Oxidean blasted it to up to 46mph thanks to Venom’s 4500 50c saddle packs, Novak’s Pulse ESC, and an Atomik prototype boat.

On day one of the event the water conditions prevented any record passes from occurring. On day two a storm blew in. Finally, on the morning of day 3 the water gave him 20 minutes of record setting water, and Oxidean got the job done increasing the previous record by 9mph!
Bill said, “The water conditions were rough and I only had a 20 minute window to make it happen. So I’m glad I could count on my sponsors to put me at warp speed when the going gets tough.”

That's sounds quick for a stocker. Aren't these the brushless equivelent of the old chameleon motors?

I'm pretty sure the old 37 mph record was his too. I don't know anyone that owns a super stock but I suspect that's fast. 9mph is quite a leap in performance. Nice job Wilmer.

    Hi,

Thanks guys, it was a fun event. Indeed that is a substantial leap for a spec class.
Surprisingly my super stock scores have been lower than my stock scores, and that befuddled me.

Took some time to program things properly in addition to improved equipment and have been pleased with the results
In all humility, thanks guys, a wonderful post to wake up to. I would also like to thank Bob Morton for providing a great event.

Here's the boat in action as I tested at my home pond before the event: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r26Q2...4&feature=plcp

The weather last week was not that best for SAW's as you can see in the background of Bills Pics. Bill waited it out for three days untill he got the water he needed to get the record. I admire your tenacity. Thats what it takes to bring home records. I headed home short of my goal after one day but still had a great time meeting you and Graham and getting to know Bob. I appreciate the prop bending on that final pass. That really got me stoked for Elizabeth City. Hope to see you in a few weeks!!

And reference your avatar and the right picture in Post 5..... Tell Novak to send you another shirt!!!

My question is: If it is not a secret - tell me about your record model H 1

What battery - manufacturer, capacity and C rating?
What motor - manufacturer, size, KV?
What propeller - manufacturer, diameter, pich?
What is the length of the central part of the model (body)?

Hi Gromov, are you still planning to move to LA. You could have gone to the event and seen everything with your own eyes. Let us know if you do and we will keep you in the loop with whats going on here.

I still have such plans. Work and business are kept in Ukraine. Plan arrival in LA in January - February. I'm preparing to release two models. MONO MINI and MINI HYDRO. While so.

Motor is a Novak ballistic 4.5 540 sized motor with 13mm torque rotor installed
    Propeller is 1.4 pitch

    Hey Bill,

    Great run my friend.

I thought the camaraderie at this event was excellent....everyone supporting each other and offering help when needed. To me this is what it's all about, and I'm glad you made it out this time.

Can't wait for the next one
