    Default Next build: 37" Komodo

Well guys,I have been given the honour of doing the unveiling of a collaborative effort in design to bring this to fruitition.
    I give you the KOMODO

And this is the comparison in size. That is my Gieco next to it

That is a T-600.I am planning on going with Castle 3434's or TP 4083 950kv's

This has been influenced by myself,Tagasagwan,Hydrojerry,JasonCyclone and built by Macdon

This one is 13" wide and 37" long. It is quite a "stocky" boat.Lots of room for motors, batteries and my personnal favorite,FLOATATION.

Ha funny, I only got flotation for my big cat today. Naughty I've been running without since I build it. But today I got this big a$$ noodle. Hoping for a quiet moment on the lake

I think my loss gave a few a kick in the *** .I could not have got any more in that sleek hull though. Glad to see you are going to try the big lake Kent.

I guess you will have to tag along and help. This is the very first pull.I am hoping that it will be somewhat like a Geico but we tapered the tunnel a little more to hopefully get above 57mph which is where the Geico likes to become a airplane. We were also hoping to get it in rougher water as well.
This is a shot of the ride pads

I'm going to the mountains to play with bears and fish for the weekend.

I believe that a HV set-up is the way to go for this bad kitty! I will be glued to this build for sure.

looks like the boat is about 36" Shaun ? the weight of an HV set up would be alot of weight in that size hull. if it where me (probably will be as soon as I can get one of these) I'd shoot for 6 or 8s for that size boat. Looks like a big GEICO and they handle well.

Allright,All calls out! I need a pair of stingers to fit this sucker. The mounting surface is 30mm high and has an overhang of 55mm.Anybody have any ideas? I think I can get the mini "click drive"to fit but at 139 euros.I have an MTC mini powertrim on the way and it is still going to need hull mods.

Man, that sure is a small area to play with for a hull this size. Should one go for the single motor route instead?

    Be alot easier.

These may work http://www.horracing.com/product_inf...roducts_id=507 One would have to drill them out so as to run a brass tube for a liner than a Speedmaster bushing. I just did this on my Twin Geico and got lucky drilling. This may have more "meat" on them.

I think these best suits this kitty
    3/16 Stinger drives http://www.horracing.com/product_inf...roducts_id=512
150mm Rudder assembly with hydraulic fakes: http://www.horracing.com/product_inf...roducts_id=518

Then layup some cf on the inside, then with your nice CF battery, esc, servo holders, this will look wicked!

I should have a set of those stingers here tonight Tag,I also have these here today https://www.mtc-powerboat.de/index.p...n=13&produkt=6

I am very tempted to go with a "scale" look rudder and in hull water pick ups. What do you think Kent/Chris?

BTW,Holy *^%# I can see both my work tables

Guess I'm ready to go,or at least get more serious.

Well Here is a pick of these nice little powertrims

But as you can see there is a problem

I'm going to try to buy 4mm from these little guys by moving the arm toward the ball socket/pivot point.

My other option here would be to cut the floor of the hull to gain room and glass it back in.Which also wouldn't be the end of the world but...
