i have a 645 in stock i was just worried aboout making that jump, i wanted to see some temps on the x642. if i put the batteries back i will way under the 30% rule.
okay good on the timing. also i was still getting the LVC so i guess i will have to disable it. i don’t run past 4 minutes without bringing it in and checking the batteries.
That motor can spin an x452 if you wanted too, it just that the boat will be uncontrollable with that large of diameter...............you need pitch and a bit of diameter.

i think on this boat i would need an outrigger with a 52mm prop LOL good know the Motor can swing it. don’t we all agree that I still have something else wrong here? My math says the 220 should be pushing 48MPH only figuring 80% motor efficiency and 25% slip.
Do you think it would be okay if i test with 2 6S 5000 25C in parallel??

sounds good! man i wish i had time to run it now but i am going out of town. i will be back on Monday and will keep you posted, as always thanks for all your help.
Get that gps in the ass to.
i think that would put me at 20% the thing is going to blow over
Hey,
I am not sure what % this is at,
But it is a PB 36"shockwave with a 4074 2200kv t120a esc with 3 more caps and a x646/3 prop on 4s2p gps at 46mph best so far.
The hull is stock and just missing gas motor, So it is a little on the heavy side.
Yours should air out like this and run faster when trimmed out.

Messing with cog and strut might gain you a mph or two, but it's not gonna get you where you want to be speed wise. Those adjustments can be made to get boat handle well, but your speed issue is something else. Is your throttle set to reverse on your controller? Is it properly calibrated?
The problem is that he is running less rpms than the Castle setup.........the older setup is 1600kv and the "new" Castle motor is an off the wall 1800kv on 6s! My buddy gets right at 50 with the new motor with an s215, but thats 39,500 rpms, where traeside is only getting 33,000 or so. He needs more prop to make up for it.............x645, x447, m447 etc..............

Yeah I guess a bigger prop would work
okay i am placing an order and i wanted to replace my 642 but they are out of stock, is the GrimRacer Metal Prop 42mm Diameter x 66mm Pitch pretty close? I still have the 645 but still not sure about that much prop. Last run out I spun the dog drive so I did not get much run time. my new 5300 60C packs are in so I hope that helps even with the stock setup over the 5000 45C
in my old spartan i ran the seaking 180 with a castle motor and a prather 220 prop and ran in the mid to upper 60's consistently

Okay I will have a look when I get back to the office. Mamaba2200 what kv were you running?
2200
See I am 1430 so that's why they had me go to the 645
Very impressive, that thing is hardly in the water and it is bouncing straight up and down no chine walk at all!!! Very nice lake and song selection . Did you every have a chine walk problem and if so what solved it?
yes i did just fine tuning the trim tabs and make the bottom of the ridgid that was the v1 hull my v2 hull was easier to tame i have other vids of it in the 60's also that cc1515 had alot to do with it getting those speedsbut that motor was a no no on 6s from what i hear but it worked good for me
what rudder is that? and on the V2 do you know where you have the tabs set? i have gone all over the place with mine and not only can i not get it over 43 but it walks all over the place.
Its a dual pickup rudder from kintec it was longer than stock that stabled it out also to be honest the tabs wasnt even touching water at speed

i am willing to try anything at this point, i mean i went from stock 6s with 215 to the 4090 1430 with a 645 moved the batteries all the way end to end and still the same speed?!?!? i do think my batteries were not up to snuff but i got new ones but i have not had a chance to try them.
