I paid the fee to become an IMPBA member and I'm just waiting for someone to approve it.
I plan on coming to the Oct. race...is there a pre-registration required, or just show up?

There are a couple guys planning to go to this as their first IMPBA event. Is there pre-registration required? Any thing special we should know?

No pre-registration required, just show up with your IMPBA card.

    Later,
    Mike

Sorry guys, don't check this forum enough.

No pre-registration is required, show up anytime, we're usually there by 7am and will run 'til we can't see 'em if the conditions are good. If it's real crappy we hang out at the McDonalds south on Saganaw St., my cell # is 954-598-2812.

You can run with a NAMBA card by paying the $10 guest fee, but you must be an IMPBA member to set an IMPBA record, membership is only $30 after Sept. 1st. You can sign up at the event or go to http://www.impba.net/ and pay with PayPal, you should get your card in about a week.

    See ya there!

Mike, Mark and I got the site all set up today, water was dead flat this evening even with a 10 mph west wind. Weather's lookin' pretty good for the weekend...

Another great event hosted by the FAST club, thanks guys, without you these weekends just wouldn't happen.

We had great conditions both days, wind was from the west on Saturday (normal direction) up to 25 mph and the course was still flat thanks to the shelter of the UAW Freeway behind us. Sunday was FANTASTIC all day with no wind and 100% + air, many fast runs were made but as they say "close but no cigar" for most. Just shows you how strong some of our records are and what an honor it is to be holding them.

There were a few fast electric records set, Keith Kirchen in S Tunnel at 77.453 mph and Chris Krawczyk for P mono oval at 28.795 and S mono at 27.997, congrats guys!
