I'm suprised they claim any speeds. It's all really relitive in trems of conditions & setup. Any rtr is what you make it.

I know your not involved in the industry and have lots of questions.. I can not give you a lot of answers at this time and truth is we / I did post some information to help get out customers going regarding exhaust issues. We are helping as and when we can.

I also know that in this industry we will NEVER make everybody happy regardless of what we say, do, or how bullet proof the product is. Everybody has a different idea of what the boat should do, cost, look like, so on and so on…….

But I can answer your question regarding our company listening.. Yep, we do.

I have been involved in RC boat racing for over 17 years and running RC boats for over 25.. im feeling old.. I hope the day does not come that I stop caring… I don’t see me changing that but the internet has made me change the way I approach a product..

I guess I could step away from the PC and let the wolfs have at us again or I can stick it out and hang with my buds here.

One note.. I see that the guys Venom have jumped on the board to help there customers too.. I like that.. I know the Venom guys do not have the years of RC boating experience I do and that’s OK. I like what they are doing and wish them well. I think you guys should help them get adjusted to the board in a positive way, we need them here too. BTY.. I did get to see there King of Shaves run last week in Las Vegas but did not get to talk to them about it. It did not run long and I don’t know why. Maybe they just pulled it early. We got about 3 hours on one Rio and 1-1/2 on the other. They ran great. One of my drivers got the Yellow Rio upside down after running over a buoy. The boat had to blow in to make a retrieve. All were fine. We had a BLAST..

I let BBmods make some laps with the boat too.. Like I have stated before.. ANYTIME we are at an event you are welcome to stop by. We are happy to show you what we are doing and let you run the boats if you like.. I wish I could remember the names of the others local club members that got to run the boats. Sorry about that and thanks for your help at the pond.

    Grim out

Depending on the street price of the hull & hw It's one of the front runners for my gas boat.

It's close to the top of my list. The Rico 08 OffShore is still #1. If AQ would sell a Rio51 Hull and HW package I'd go that way. 7 bills for a boat I have to repower right out of the box is way to steep.

    Thumbs down

You know... On Rc universe there have been tons of people asking about hull only and I think they would sale alot more If they would sell them without the crappy motor and HW but, they say It will be a while before hull only Is available...

i find my self having to hold back on a few awesome boats.

im blaming it on the price of diesel these days.

I really want to try out a nice gas boat sometime.

guess one could buy the RTR and gut it, salvage some parts, trim the weight off, and do what "Doby" has done with the 1/8 Llumar hydro.
can already picture it ..... Rock N Roll

or if plenty of room drop a chainsaw motor in.
