    Default brushless mini vee

I just converted my mini vee to brushless with new flex drive aswell. It has a 3900 kv inrunner with a 40 amp speed control with a x432 prop. (Generic airplane brushless stuff.) When I tested it I used a 7.4 nimh losi 1000 mah and It was very slow maybe alittle faster than stock but not by much. Is this because my battery doesn't put out enough amps. 13 amps +or-. I have a lipo 20c 1450 7.4v should I go to that for sure and sell my other nimh packs. Or is it more that the prop is to big for the amps those packs can put out. I'm new to boats and just figuring out the amp pull to battery pack to prop combo thing. Thanx.

I think its just that nimh battery. I did this conversion also and my nimh's
    were really slow.

Which 3900 did you use? It should be much faster than stock.

    Default motor

It's a 20.00 400 series 3900kv motor by hxt. It said it needed a 40 amp esc thats why I thought I was way under amps with the nimh battery and had to go to lipo to get the power out of it. I had a mamba set up it my 1/18 scale buggy with nimh batterys and it was fast but that had a 25 amp speed control and the motor was way smaller. I also have a 3 cell thunder power 1320 for my renegade that I'm sure will make it fly but unsure about heat with that set up because of the rpm.
