i wanna cry, you cut into the hull. i avoided cutting into the hull putting the motor in the back compartment(no watercooling on a 700sc). if your running a single brushless i suggest it goes in the rear just cuz its how it was originally laid out. yes its a little tight but its worth not cutting the hull.

I took mine and put a 700 motor in it. It ran well and long.

go to www.rcraceboat.com and go to the bottom and you can find it under our boats. It was easy. I would run a differnt connector now. Many had problems with the graupner connector but I never did.

The SV combo would be good and cheap. A little more speed then move to the 9XL or maybe even 8XL.

Coat it with epoxy and let it dry, then put a layer of epoxy down on the transom, lay the piece of wood down into the transom and then pour epoxy over the top of the wood, filling in the edges and such.

Why do you have to seal it?
    are you serious?

what does water do to untreated wood?
    rots it.

    yeah you could.

most of the time you would want to do what would give you the most strength.
but yeah i guess you could just spray it with some clear coat.

I got a SV 27 and ran it once, I really dont much like boats that only turn right so I put the boat on my shelf. I thought the interior wood was sealed because it was shiny. Now I have a little green forest living inside my SV 27

    lol!

    a green forest.
    bleach it.
and if the wood is to saturated.
    replace it.

Dual Outdrives Rule, but not steerable outdrives
