i wanna cry, you cut into the hull. i avoided cutting into the hull putting the motor in the back compartment(no watercooling on a 700sc). if your running a single brushless i suggest it goes in the rear just cuz its how it was originally laid out. yes its a little tight but its worth not cutting the hull.
Hell guy's hackin up your first boat is the right of passage into FE. Man you do what you think you have to....BUT do take our advise in regard to Hardware and powersystem's. It's not fun letting out the smoke.
he already did, with the out-lets through the tray and the hull. THE TRAY and the hull...
hey z400 if you ever feel like you arent going to slavage that hawaii ill buy the deck cover off you... :)
I took mine and put a 700 motor in it. It ran well and long.
go to www.rcraceboat.com and go to the bottom and you can find it under our boats. It was easy. I would run a differnt connector now. Many had problems with the graupner connector but I never did.
lol.btw i never knew what FE stands for?i agree with you SJFE.and fastbaltek i am keeping the motor in the rear lol.

yeah i mounted the same way but i did not keep the stock hardware, i upgraded to the octura offset rudder system. works nicely. if i was to go brushless id get a stinger strut.
The SV combo would be good and cheap. A little more speed then move to the 9XL or maybe even 8XL.

i was thinking of the sv though but i do not no the wind that it is. what does FE stand for??????

Nice
But how thick is that?
and did you seal it before you installed it?
Doesnt look like its sealed..
nope not sealed well i guese the glue seald it its 3mm thick
just a kid with a super hawaii project
why do you have to seal it? and how do you seal it?
Coat it with epoxy and let it dry, then put a layer of epoxy down on the transom, lay the piece of wood down into the transom and then pour epoxy over the top of the wood, filling in the edges and such.
Why do you have to seal it?
are you serious?
what does water do to untreated wood?
rots it.
i did one side.. but not the outside.i could still do it but. cant i just spray clear coat on it?
just a kid with a super hawaii project
yeah you could.
most of the time you would want to do what would give you the most strength.
but yeah i guess you could just spray it with some clear coat.
haha i new that. i wasnt thinking straight.i was apoxying a piece of wood also lol. maybe apoxy is slowly killing my brain cells lol.. haha im luck u replied fast enough for that apoxy not to dry yet.. im gonna definatly seal in now
its epoxy*
and you should always use liquids such as epoxy in well ventilated areas.
lol haha you have been reading

hahha im it turns out im not that smart.. i use it in my room with the window not even open.lol no wonder im dumd. lol next time im gonna open my window
I got a SV 27 and ran it once, I really dont much like boats that only turn right so I put the boat on my shelf. I thought the interior wood was sealed because it was shiny. Now I have a little green forest living inside my SV 27
Dual Outdrives Rule !!!
only my opinion
